we booked the room because the site said the hotel was pet friendly. when we got there, they told us only certain rooms were pet friendly. When we booked it through Expedia, Expedia did not give us a choice to select pet friendly, so we assumed the hotel was pet friendly for the whole hotel, not just specific rooms. They would not refund us and would not let us stay there. We booked a different hotel in the area that said pet friendly, and we confirmed the whole hotel is pet friendly, not just specific rooms. They said if a hotel says pet friendly, the whole hotel is pet friendly. Apparently not AmericInn by Wyndham Northfield. Expedia is at fault too for not including an option for pet friendly room at this hotel. Expedia tried to get me a refund, but the clerk would not hear of it.

Clean room

The staff and management were so friendly and helpful—the epitome of Midwest hospitality!

The comforter had holes in it. The bathroom towels where frayed on the edges. The pillows just look like they where thrown on the bed.

If steps are an issue make sure you are on the first floor since there is no elevator to the second floor. The room was clean and comfortable but the shower and bathroom floor as well as hall carpets were in disrepair. Breakfast was good.

The property is looking worn.

Easy parking

The room was a good value. Air conditioner and cable worked great and it was a clean space. The plumbing is super old, which means the tub and sink back up when you shower or wash. (This is gross if youre a germaphobe). Also, hiking up stairs, since there is no elevator, is not ideal for everyone, particularly with heavy luggage!

The bathroom was not clean at all. There was urine stained on the sides of the toilet and a piece of used floss on the counter top. We took photos if anyone from the property would like to see them

Clean property. Friendly staff. Rooms spacious and comfortable.

Curly hairs on the seat of my toilet, and the toilet was running for my entire stay. Also looked like the toilet had not been cleaned in quite some time. Will avoid in the future.

Lived up to expectations. It was clean and comfortable. Pool looked well maintained. Was a little speedy. The Friday night price went up about 90.00. But so did the other motels in area. Would definitely stay again

When I got there I asked about a late check out and was told to call in the morning. Then gave us our room cards but did not tell us where the room was. Called the next morning to see about the late check out and was told I had to call.back in 10 minutes to find out. I also shared that the phone in the room did not work and was just told okay. I finally went down there to ask about late check out and was told it would be okay. Breakfast was pretty simple.

The place was nice. Breakfast good. People at the front desk pleasant. They do not clean for a 3 day stay though and the property does have an elevator. Orbit z should warn about the no-elevator, specially for seniors like myself.
