ホテルは、空港から近いにも関わらず、大変素敵で、お食事もおいしく、庭園も広大で、手入れも 行き届いており、満喫いたしました。又、泊まってみたいホテルの一つです。

Food at the restaurant wasn’t as good as expected

What a beautiful place. So handy for Heathrow with not being a busy airport hotel. Allow time for the grounds and gardens

Ut is like staying at a kiving museum. So much history. The staff remembered me frim 17 months ago and made me very welcome.

A beautiful old hotel in need of some tlc.

Beautiful hotel and grounds, our second time. Whilst the staff seemed nice, non were engaging or overtly friendly. We got engaged here last year and my brother ordered a bottle of bubbly to our room and the hotel staff brought it to the room with a blue sticky note on it. No hotel card to write the note on it. During this stay, there was a room upgrade available for a small price which we were happy to pay. Besides the staff friendliness the only other comment i would make is the breakfast. The waiter knew nothing about what was gluten free and came back to take my order without letting me know what i could eat from the buffet or the menu. I guess what i am saying is its a beautiful hotel but a long long way from the 5star service we expected which is a shame.

Full of magical character, style and quintessential English charm. The staff, the rooms and the ambience are everything anyone could need

It felt like a privilege to stay in this gorgeous hotel. We loved the pool and grounds. But somehow the service and cleanliness was slightly off. Two members of staff stood out as exceptional - Tom the door man and Italian waiter at dinner.

Lovely historical building, hopeful friendly staff, beautiful place to stay for a quiet relaxing break.

Historic charm

Mediocre stay for a 5 star hotel. Hotel staff weren’t friendly - any request seemed like a big effort for them, no turn down service, water glasses not changed everyday, welcome desserts on arrival containing nuts so no regard for potential allergies. For breakfast, the Hollandaise wasn’t creamy, but quite tart. Next day the bacon was burnt to the point it couldn’t be cut. Didn’t have breakfast again and ate out the next 3 days. Had a burger from the bar one evening, that was burnt on one side. Outdoor pool is nice but only opens at 8 despite being unsupervised.

Gorgeous hotel in beautiful grounds. Staff were all attentive without being intrusive and every need thoughtfully provided for. Thank you Great Fosters.
