There was no mention when booking that the lifts did not work. For someone with a bad back, that is a great issue. Duty manger said it never worked in the time he’d been there! Why was this not in the advert to warn people?
The keycards did not work over the weekend so we had to be let into our room every time we left it hence not much privacy.
The swimming pool water was freezing cold and people unable to make use of it nor it being put out of use. For a cold season like mid-February, that was shocking.
Three under 5 went into the jacuzzi with their parents although there were signs that under 12 were not allowed to use spa facilities. The receptionist came in, saw the children and left without challenging the parents. Those parents took the children into the jacuzzi to warm them up after the freezing pool water but I believe that this was a blatant breach of H&S rules and the receptionist at the desk simply didn’t care!
I requested housekeeping. That service didn’t come until mid afternoon and then left a bag of dirty laundry outside my door.
One mishap can occur but several means that there is a lack of care and a form of dishonesty/deceit by both management and the staff. Sorely disappointed.
I emailed the Operations manager about my experience and they have not bothered to respond! As long as they got their money, why have repeat customers?!?
Overall, and I’ve been taking spa breaks 3-4 times a year - a shocking experience and one never to repeat at that place!
