ホテルのレストランはタウンセンターに面していますが、ホテルのレセプションはレストラン横のくぐり門を入り、少し奥まったところにある。客室は静かな中庭に面した部屋だった。朝にはBlackbirdがしきりと鳴き交わしているのが聞こえ、とても静かで快適な環境に浸れる。 部屋の調度品（クレーゼット、机、ドレッシング机、椅子、バスルームなど）も古いがきれいに整備されていて、古き良き時代を感じながら、快適に過ごすことができた。 マネージャーのErgulさんのホスピタリティーがとてもよかった。チェックアウト時に少しだけ言葉を交わしたのですが、出身のトルコと日本の言葉の共通点や、35年前イスタンブールのホテルで勤務しているときの日本人出張者の思い出話などで、とても楽しいひと時を持てました。レセプションのYaseminさんも少し東洋系のとてもきれいでおしとやかな感じのする方（トルコ出身）でホッとさせられました。 朝食のFull English Breakfastもとてもよかったです。

部屋が非常に寒く、集中暖房がOFFになっていました。FULLにしましたがいまいち効きが悪く、結局厚着をして寝ました。シャワーもぬるくて微妙。浴槽にお湯を溜めようとすると冷水の方の蛇口が回せず、お湯しか出ないため温度調節不可。もう泊まりたくないな。

Room was cosy (read small) but clean and comfortable, the person who did the floor tiles in the bathroom needs a telling off for putting the tiles directly on the floorboards, with at least 3 of them cracked and moving about.

Room was shabby but passable -very clean. It was very loud with a cacophony of noise from people & baggage (covered passageway with cobbles & people not realising that there were bedrooms right there). The main issue was that the shower was TERRIBLE! Lack of pressure and no temperature regulation. It was my first day on a job & I had to have a bath instead of a shower, to clean myself.

Lovely large warm room. Bed was very comfy, had all you expect in a hotel room. The only criticism was the shower not very powerful, but thats all.

Shower didn't work for either of the days that I stayed at the hotel, no room change offered and least you would expect is a working shower.

Dinner was overpriced and arrived cold. £25 for a single cold stuffed mushroom and a lasagne that arrived stone cold in the middle. Hot breakfast was poor. The sausage had obviously been cooked earlier and left in the fridge. (And not re-heated properly). My room had an adjoining door that would not lock on my side. Had to wedge a chair under the door handle.

Room was dated with windows leaking water. Temperature was very cold too.

Unique property but not even remotely luxurious. Clean and spacious but sparse. Uncomfortable furniture in the sitting room. Poor lighting throughout (especially the bathroom). Friendly staff. If you are looking for anything more than a 2.5 star experience look elsewhere. If you don’t care about comfort and want a great location this is for you

Great stay if you have a dog. Stayed in one of the garden rooms - hardwood flooring and access straight out to the garden for our dog

Conveniently located

Breakfast was comprehensive but a mixture of DIY and service, which is important to notice. Our suite was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay - will stay again.

Staff were uncommunicative / frosty. Room (executive double) had a cobweb across the door, crumbling plaster, (I have photos), thin duvet, was cold, dim lighting which was annoying trying to apply make-up for a wedding. Shower was either scalding or cold. No residents’ bar or drink service at 10.15 at night, just a surly “No” at reception. Breakfast was barely warm, bacon was chewy, and the tea and coffee were almost cold. It’s a beautiful hotel, but every aspect of it was “could do better”. No directions are given for the car park, which is in a back street and well-disguised.

Big room, a suite actually. Comfy bed and nice breakfast. Car park difficult to find, and £5 per night.

The hotel, staff and breakfast was excellent. Lovely gal from Restaurant was super helpful and friendly.
