宿泊客は無料で使えるプール、温水ジャグジー、サウナが素晴らしかったです。私は使いませんでしたが、フィットネスもありました。 予約時点でいちばん安かった部屋（１泊１２０００円程度）に泊まりましたが、バスタブ付きで快適でした。部屋の冷蔵庫にはミネラルウォーターとポーションタイプの牛乳が冷やしてあり嬉しかったです。 スタッフの方はどなたも親切でしたし、レストランやバーも良心的な価格でした。 また近くに行くことがあれば必ず泊まりたいと思います。

ロケーション、スタッフ、朝食、レストラン、スパ、部屋の浴槽、全て予想以上でした。。唯一、部屋でwifiが繋がりにくかったことが残念でした。

湖水地方をのんびり散策する目的で4日間滞在しました。このホテルにして正解でした。まず、湖水地方の他の地域へのアクセスとなるバスターミナルはすぐ近くでしたので、バスに乗って他の地域をゆっくりのんびり散策するには良い立地でしょう。また周辺はショップやレストランも多くあり、しかもこのホテルの食事は朝のビュッフェが素晴らしくおいしいのです。朝しっかり食事をすると昼は散策周辺のカフェで軽く済ませるくらいで十分でした。部屋はバストイレがベッドのすぐわきにあって、多少窮屈な感じがしますが、毎日清潔に保っていただきよかったです。

都会から離れたせいか、のんびりとしていて、すごく静かな町でした。ただ、時期の変わり目でもあり、暖房がきかずちょっと寒い気がしました

ホテルの人の対応はとてもよかったです。部屋も使いやすく、快適でした。朝食はとても豪華で満足しました。近くにはＳＰＡＲというコンビニがあるので便利でした。

Stayed one night, in the Troutbeck room (including hot tub). Pool and outside hydro therapy pool were great. Thoroughly recommended!

Don’t let the cleaning staff put you off having your room done. A knock on the door and they ask if we need anything. I felt as though I just had to say yes clean towels and coffee . On the first night I took the duvet out of the cover as it was too warm. Told the cleaner the next morning and then she said do you want me to make the bed. So I made the bed for the remaining 2 nights. (I can do that at home. ) The sink was never cleaned nor the toilet. Overall we had a lovely 3 nights stay and the hotel was lovely. Breakfast was lovely too . The room cleaning was my only gripe maybe I should have been assertive and asked her to do room service.

Great stay - beautiful room, excellent spa after a days walking. Great location and the best staff. Would highly recommend

One of the few hotels in central Ambleside with lots of facilities which was a bonus. Although the sauna and steam room were a little chilly! Areas of the hotel were being upgraded with others still to do - bathrooms and main dining area.

Staff were lovely, room was delightful, the breakfast was tasty and generous, and the spa was excellent. A wonderful 2-night stay in Ambleside!

If you book a room with an outside hot tub double check you don’t get the Troutbeck room. The balcony is awful! Firstly, it is overlooked by a loft window above, so limited privacy and able to hear any conversations. On one side of the balcony there is two shipping containers stacked on top of each other, the other side an unkempt wall with a water feature attached. The water feature clearly hadn’t worked for sometime and was full of stagnant water. We raised this issue immediately but nothing was done to remedy this. Your view is off a metal fence with large gaps in it allowing walkers passing to see in . The room itself was fine. The staff were all pleasant and breakfast was pretty good . I booked the room through Expedia cheaper than the hotel offers so maybe that’s why we got the shabby room. I can’t comment on other rooms but this certainly wasn’t worth the money we paid!

Great location for Ambleside and the lakes. Only minor points were car park was pretty tight and only 2 spaces that EVs could use of which one had a reserved car for a disabled driver (although next door sauce was marked for such cars). Lack of air con made room quite warm on what was a very hot weekend, however rooms were well appointed and spacious. Spa and gym were excellent and worth a visit, very clean too. Food for breakfast could not be faulted and nice to have a varied choice of fish too. Overall, highly recommended and good vfm too.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic. Friendly and helpful. The breakfast choice was excellent. I do stay in a lot of hotels and the breakfast was one of the best in my opinion. Pool and spa area all clean. A bit dated in places. The bedroom was exceptionally clean with fresh water and tea coffee biscuits each day. The only negative was our room was extremely hot. Was altogether a wonderful hotel made mostly by the lovely staff.

A lovely hotel in the heart of Ambleside. Our balcony room was in an annexe just a few steps from the main hotel. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the outdoor jacuzzi in the spa was a lifesaver in the immense heat we have just had. The food in the restaurant was lovely, breakfast was a continental buffet and hot from the menu and the dinner choice was very good and well priced.

We had a 5 night stay in June and on arrival we were awarded a room upgrade. The suite 'Woodlands' was excellent and although across the yard, was no problem at all. Breakfasts were excellent with a great choice, including many fruits. Individual cooked items were well presented and tasty. We took 2 evening meals at the hotel and again the choice of meals on the menu and the quality was superb. Staff were very helpful, professional and courteous. The facilities including the lounge, bar, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and indoor and outdoor jacuzzis were all excellent All in all a superb stay and a place thoroughly recommended and one worth coming back to.

Excellent hotel. Arrived early and was able to park up. The weather wasn’t too good so was able to use spa before checking in. Spa was really good and spent 2 hrs chilling whilst it rained outside. Staff throughout the hotel were all very helpful and the breakfast was superb. Will defo stay at the hotel again and I would recommend it to anyone who wants the freedom to use the facilities of the hotel but be in close proximity to bars and restaurants outside.
