This hotel is close to a train station & a bus station, so you can access when you travel by train or bus. The hotel staff were friendly and kindly. It's one of reasons that I liked this city. But at check-in they said breakfast was included, actually breakfast wasn't included. At the time of booking I knew it's not included, although I thought that it was changed. I wanted to listen to exactly announcements. It was almost perfect stay.

It was a hotel that was shut down a while ago and then reopened again a few weeks (or months?) ago, probably specifically for the large conference I attended. The hotel shines with the past luxury (at least in my room), but desperately needs renovation from top to bottom. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was fine, but worn out. To some extent the hotel leaves an impression of a deserted ghost-like hotel, even though, as I was told, they were fully booked.

Quite possibly the worst hotel room we have ever had! On entering the room the disgusting smell hit us- almost like stale tobacco. We had to spray perfume/body spray to tolerate the smell. When we put down the roller blind there was graffiti on it. The sink in the bathroom was leaking onto the floor. The floor of the room was running off, walk uphill to get to the toilet, run down the hill to get to the bed! Thankfully, we only had one night booked, checked in late and checked out early. We told the member of staff when we checked out, he apologised saying hopefully it would be better next time - there will not be a next time, will not return.

I had a great stay and the property exceeded my expectations. It is very clean and comfortable rooms in a good area near station, not noisy at night and friendly staff. Thanks Yvonne for advice on getting to Aberdeen beach. I recommend staying here and hope to return.

Spacious accommodation for single travellers. Situated close to main thoroughfares which made transport for onward travel easy.

They are honest about being in the middle of a refurbishment. For the Price point and location it is excellent. If you prefer to spend money on experiences than a bed for the night, this is a good place. Can walk anywhere in Aberdeen to all the sites. Staff super helpful. Fabulous café around the corner called café Concerto. So really good for a couple of nights.

Great location, spacious rooms, helpful staff. For the price we paid it was good. You could tell our room hadn't been occupied for a while as all the furniture had a covering of dust, which I just wiped off with a towel. But overall the sheets and towels were clean, the water was hot, the beds were comfie, and the staff were great so can't really complain. I'd probably stay here again.

Such a lovely hotel, just a shame that it doesn’t have any restaurant or any anywhere to get any food even in a vending machine?

A bit strange and dark colour scheme with deep purple carpet very wrinkled in places. A bit dated and would need millions to bring up to full potential. Good enough though for price paid. Clean and good size. Excellent central location neat railway station and shops. Staff lovely. Value for money but not 5 star but doesn’t pretend to be.

Great central location. Hotel a wee bit quirkier than your usual, so no negative comments to give. Remote control for the telly didn't work very well, but who's coming to Aberdeen for the telly?

Stayed in Aberdeen for a business trip and the Carmelite was a nice place to stay. The staff, Yvonne and Elaine, were lovely and the room was large and comfortable

We were informed in advance that the bar and restaurant were "undergoing work" so would not be available. We saw no evidence of work, it just seemed as though the hotel was only open for room rental. The room was clean and had a large bathroom, however the carpet was very strange, all wrinkled, seemed thin and not attached to the floor. The bed was comfortable and staff were polite.
