Very accessible to everything

EAST 50th St ということで、5番街やエンパイアステートなど徒歩圏内で静かなエリアということで、料金のこともあり4星のこちらのホテルに宿泊した。 建物が30階棟と8階棟に分かれており、口コミのきれいで広いは30階棟であり、私は初めてで知らなかったこともあり、8階棟の低階層に部屋をあてがわれた。2部屋利用して、1部屋はバスタブありだが、蛇口から茶色の水が出るなど使い物にはならなかった。もう1部屋はお湯は出るがコントロールが大変な蛇口を毎回ひねり、微妙に水温をコントロールしなければならないほど建物全体的に老朽化したハードの仕様であった。 低層棟の低層階を指定されたことに文句はないが、であるならば何か評価できるポイントがあればよいのだが、毎朝エレベーターが混む30階棟よりはポジティブにすぐにエレベーターが来て出入り出来たことだけしかなかったのは残念だ。 そもそも、最初のレセプションの女性に全く愛想がなく、かつガムを噛みながら対応していることに評価が高いと口コミされていたイメージとの乖離にとてもストレスを感じた。ドアマンは挨拶してくれるが、毎朝低層棟はレセプションの前をとおざるを得ないが、挨拶されたことがない。全く無視の状態は日本のビジネスホテルでもあまりない体験ではないかと思う。 それでいて執拗にホテルから評価はいかがですかと予約時とチェックアウト後にメールがくる厚かましさにニューヨークとはそういう気持ちでビジネスしないとならない逞しさを感じましたが、次回は予算を考えた場合には、期待されるサービスやハードにバラツキのないマリオット、ヒルトン、IHGなどの大手系を考えるべきかなと思いました。 静かなエリアですし、ホデルの2つのレストラン、イタリアンもステーキも美味しかったので、予算的にエリアを考えてご指定するには良いホテルとは思います。

築年数は古いが、清潔感あり部屋も広く快適でした。 エアコン調整と浴槽の換気が無く少し残念でした。

居心地が良すぎて予定より2泊延泊しました。マンハッタンの中ではリーズナブルで快適なホテルです。

The service was that of a five star, 5 diamond hotel… from the check-in to the door men, and a special shout out to Ralph who took great care of us with everything from ice to water to anything we could think of. Also, the spaciousness of the rooms is unheard of elsewhere in the city, so nice to have a suite! I will definitely stay here again!

Great location, great apartment and views.

Everything was perfect wonderful suite charming staff one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in on New York had a great dinner on the roof terrace thank you Kimberley hotel look forward to returning.

The staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating. Our King suite was palatial -for a NY hotel room. We had a balcony which is very unusual in NYC- we had our coffee outside in the mornings. The rooftop bar was very nice- we went twice!

The true test of a property is how the management reacts when something goes sideways. I had an issue at check-in and not only did they immediately fix it, they made amends right away and didn’t offer excuses. 5-star customer service. Will definitely stay there again.

It was very convenient in terms of the location. The individuals working there were very friendly. The check in was very smooth as well The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless!

We had a great stay at The Kimberley. The one bedroom suite was really spacious, had all the things you would need for your stay, was clean and the bed was really comfortable! It was located in a great area, walkable to a lot of the key sights and there were subway stations nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooftop bar was really nice and the hotel were able to book us a car to JFK for a price not too dissimilar to a yellow taxi once tip and tolls were included.
