エスカレが近くて良かった

This Resort is beautiful. Xcaret parks are so conveniently close. Do not expect the food to be great but they will fill you up with the buffets. The beach and natural pools are amazing and the staff is very friendly and make sure you are taken care of!

Friendly staff, but the room upgrade was average.

The staff at the resort was truly amazing. Always nice and everyone had a smile. The resort is just too big for my liking. The walks to each area of the resort took a long time in the July heat. We also only got to eat in one restaurant in 7 days because reservations were never available. That was the worse thing about the resort.

The property grounds were absolutely beautiful but the check-in was absolutely terrible. It was extremely time consuming and they separated my rooms even though I had one confirmation for 2 rooms. Their excuse was that orbitz didn't communicate any notes to them. The food could improve as it lacks flavor. The lobby staff is not helpful and they need to have more workers to assist during busy hours.

Been so close to Xcaret is a plus. It only takes about 3 to 5 walking minutes and you are in the park. Pools need attention with lose tiles. On our day of arrival my wife had an accident with a loose tile that almost needed stitches.

We loved our jungle stay experience. No seaweed thanks to the private beach cove and the net. The beach is small, but very nice. The adult only natural rock jacuzzi was great for snorkeling. The only thing we didn’t like is the food. The buffet food was stale and they did not change the food much, leaving the same trays of food day after day. After a couple of days we didn’t know what to eat anymore. The snack bars were better. Because of this, I would not give this hotel 5 stars. Maybe 4.

La estadía en Occidental at Xcaret fue excelente. Desde nuestra llegada nos atendieron con amabilidad y prontitud. Todos los servicios incluidos eran de calidad y el ambiente fue de mucha relajación. Las facilidades del hotel quedan muy cerca de los parques temáticos, lo cual permitió un mayor disfrute de las actividades planificadas. ^_^

Lost our first day as they misplaced our luggage in the wrong room, they schedule our dinner at the wrong restaurant, date and time. Food at buffet was lousy, the quality and it also looked reheated, not what it used to be. Horrible drinks. Rude staff at the pool. Zero accountability, bad customer service. Never again, this was my 4th time there, got engaged, married and had birthday there when it wasn’t Barceló, I sure this was the Barceló experience, as their service quality is horrible. Never again! AVOID IT.

This was an amazing family trip, the check in process could have been a little faster because they do take time to check you in. Also one of the staff ladies in the breakfast buffet was rude to people that didnt speak English and she closed early . I do also feel that they can re inforce not feeding the wildlife and more strict in non smoking areas. Drinks are available but no apple juice at all. The hacienda wait time to get our food was over 40 mins.

Great destination

Muy grande el hotel tiene varios reataurantes que puede ser a la carta o buffet tiene varias albercas incluyendo solo para adultos ahi un restaurante de puros snack pasan muy segudo los carritos que te llevan a la playa y lobby el hotel creo una caleta para sus clientes y esta excelente por el tema de sargaso

Did not receive the VIP amenities that were to have been included though they were requested multiple times. Inconveniences included lack of washcloths, shower head that did not stay in place and general creature comforts that are typically provided but were not. Highlights: staff was very friendly and recognized us throughout the stay, shuttle very helpful. Food was average at best. We found ourselves eating the same 4-5 things off the buffet every meal. We took advantage of a day pass to XCaret park and it was totally worth it. Fantastic day and lots of cultural things to see and learn. By far was the highlight of the week!

Rooms are a little too far apart from lobby and restaurants and golf carts that take you back and forward stop early at night. Also lobby to rooms roads are a little roo dark.

Very beautiful all inclusive resort would definitely come again !
