We recently stayed at De Vere Wokefield Estate and had a mixed but generally positive experience. The estate itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning grounds and impressive facilities that make it feel like a special destination. The amenities were good, and there was plenty to enjoy during our stay. However, the room was a little disappointing compared to the rest of the property. It felt somewhat dated and dingy, and could definitely benefit from some updating to better match the quality of the estate and the room upgrade we had expected. Service was also a bit inconsistent. There were three of us staying in the room, but only two towels were provided. We requested additional towels, including some for the pool, but unfortunately they never arrived despite our asking. Overall, the gorgeous setting and facilities made for an enjoyable stay, but improvements to the rooms and more attentive service would make a significant difference and help the experience live up to the property's potential.

Beautiful hotel and amenities.

The building we were put in was out of the way and quite a walk from the main hotel. Not helpful when transporting luggage. But the hotel itself was clean, the breakfast was great and there was ample parking.

We came for a family night away to celebrate a birthday and we really found the hotel to be relaxed and friendly from the minute we got there. Our room was clean and within minutes of checking in staff came in with a basket and bowls for our dog. We had a few drinks in the bar area that evening which was busy due to football but a great atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely and the choice was great. We used the gym and spa and found the staff in the golf shop all to be extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. My husband enjoyed the golf and overall it was a very lovely weekend and we would definitely recommend and return.

On price comparisons of all the hotels I have stayed in, over many years, the De Vere offers 5 stars for the cost of 3. My stay was absolutely wonderful, a memory to treasure.

Young couple staying at the hotel. The room was amazing, stayed in the mansion house. Was incredible and really enjoyed all the games out on the front lawn. Overall the stay was fine - but the room was the best bit. One of the biggest shames was whilst the room and mansion house were beautiful, none of the bars, restaraunts, or amenities were open in the mansion house - which we did not know about before hand and only found out on arrival. Took a bit of shine out of staying in the mansion house as we had to use the main hotel building for all food/drink requirements. Front desk staff were challanging - most were confused by quite simple questions and didnt have the answers such as parking/where breakfast was. Very friendly but not helpful despite trying. Food was fine, not quite up to expectations and not equal to the cost, and only having one menu choice for the entire hotel meant options were limited. Portion size was large though. Pool was quite cloudy and at one point very busy with kids/families. Overall fine, not quite up to expectations of a De Vere.

The current heatwave means that only an uncomfortable broken sleep was possible. No AC and just an aging electric fan available to circulate the hot stuffy air. I visited Benedict's Bar so that I could sit outside and enjoy the weather. Unfortunately, most of the tables can be occupied by smokers and their secondary smoke ruined the experience. Perhaps a separate Smoking Area could be provided?

I enjoyed my stay through a ladies weekend break so much I extended my stay.

Great facilities. Friendly staff. Superb breakfast included. - only hash browns and fried eggs not provided in line with healthy take. - bacon sausages scrambled eggs mushroom tomatoes beans all high standard normal cereals yogurt fruits great range nut seeds dried fruit granolas overnight oats etc

This was a lovely hotel and we had a great stay. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and also a welcome gift which was very well received. The room was great, a good size, clean and well maintained. The grounds were gorgeous. The Manor House is beautiful. The golf course was good and well maintained. The food was good, we had a nice breakfast and paid for lunch in the bar. The hotel has multiple games including table tennis, table football, pool and arcade games, space invaders, street fighter and donkey kong- all great fun and family friendly. There is a lovely pool and sauna which we enjoyed. There was also a small but well equipped gym but I didn't manage to get round to using it. Overall a wonderful stay and I wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend. Our dog had a good stay too.

Some stray hairs in the bathroom and the pizza from the bar seemed like it was just a frozen pizza. Lovely room, great place. Would definitely stay again
