Room was beautiful very clean,staff couldn’t do enough and our dog was also welcomed by all the staff which is amazing especially in a 5 star hotel.The grounds and mansion are stunning .We can not recommend enough and for sure will be back in future

Trevligt på alla sätt men några detaljer ledningen behöver se över. Finns ingenstans överhuvudtaget att lägga sina kläder. Inte en enda låda. Anmärkningsvärt! Sängarna var så nerledande och ålderstigna att man låg som i en hängmatta. En dubbelsäng där man höjde sig 1 dm när man lade sig i mitten. Det är dålig kvalité på ett hotell med så hög standard i övrigt

Staff were amazing, the place itself is beautiful. Only feedback would be the spa could do with a touch up. Re paint, tiles missing in the pool, sauna as broken seat.

Castle and really historic feel to the building

For some reason our allocated room was for people with special needs with pull cords hanging from the ceiling near the bed, special toilet seat and shower support elements. That removed the aesthetics we hoped for. Dinner at the main Great Western restaurant was ok but not wow, there was also a lack of vegetable salads options. Overall - mah.

I would highly recommend this hotel. We had a Valley view room, which was super spacious with amazing views of the deer park. We also had dinner in Smiths Brasserie, which was informal but with very tasty food and great service.

AMAZING PLACE. Not to be missed if in the area. Spectacular for families and all. Stunning!

You arrive at this place thinking "wow - this looks lovely" and you leave bitterly disappointed and with a really bad taste in your mouth, figuratively and literally. Really consider some other options before considering this place.

What a beautiful property. Great hiking trails and many activities to enjoy. Spacious and comfortable room. The Bovey castle has lovely rooms to enjoy refreshments, tea or just relax and enjoy the fire. Would highly recommend.

Amazing winter retreat, cosiest hotel ever. Wonderful courteous staff, delicious food, beautiful grounds for going on a hike around Dartmoor. We booked one night originally and decided to stay a second.

Beautiful location and surroundings. For the price, I expected it to be quite high end and they’re trying to be but don’t quite make it. Room smelt of baby sick on arrival so that a huge disappointment. I think they really lack good, quality staff but it is in the middle of nowhere so maybe tough to get good people. Service is slow, food took sooo long to come out. Gym is like a dungeon, dirty, dark, poor equipment and too small. Pool area was lovely. Room and views were awesome on the whole.
