Enjoyable et many activities for the spring break with kids.

Staff were often unable to answer our room service calls, and on a few occasions we were given incorrect information, which was frustrating. There is also a $39 daily valet fee, and the valet did not assist with loading our luggage into the car when we left. That said, the outdoor pool and skating rink are excellent and were highlights of our stay.

Super endroit familial, les clients sont traités comme des rois, les activités sont variées et la nourriture est excellente. En soirée, un petit tour au casino est agréable!

It was a 1 night stay for my wife's birthday. The room was clean and spatious (the 2 beds could have been king, not double). The staff was very kind and curteous. The heated outside pool was really nice. The kids enjoyed the playroom on 2nd floor. For a 5 stars hotel I would expect to have a minibar in the room and slippers to go to the pool.

Séjour de 2 nuits. Chambre propre et bien entretenue. Personnel courtois et serviable. Service de salle à manger Le Belle Rive était lent. Quant à celui du restaurant Le Saint-Laurent était plutôt convenable. Outre c’est deux restaurants, il manque un dépanneur style snack-bar pour accommoder la clientèle. Contrairement à plusieurs hôtels de ce type, il n’y a pas de service de courtoisie d’une machine à café/thé/chocolat chaud 24/24 dans le hall pour la clientèle. L’hôtel Fairmont, le château Richelieu de Charlevoix est vieillissant et se fait sentir. Il demanderait à être rafraîchi. Les ascenseurs sont plutôt lents. Il y en a trois et sont tous situés en un seul endroit. L’endroit mérite le détour et de s’y rendre mais compte tenu des prix, il manque ce petit quelque chose pour dire que j’y reviendrais volontier car malheureusement il y a eu perte dans la qualité/prix au cours des dernières années. Ça manque de prestige. Dommage. Le château est bien situé, endroit de villégiature par excellence, face au majestueux fleuve Saint-Laurent et qu’à quelques 70 mètres du casino accessible par un passage souterrain.

The room and general upkeep of the space was good, the problem we encountered was a lack of quality food available. There is one full service restaurant avaliable for dinner and the bar area has a very limited selection. We felt responsible for not having made dinner reservations so booked room serv8ce. When room service was 15 minutes late we followed up.only to hear that there was an error and service would be completed in 40 minutes.
