くたびれた

全体で小振りでアットともに言えるが、ホーム設備が全般に古い上に、場所も分かりづらい。あれで21ユーロの朝食は、高い。三相アダプターも21ユーロで買い取りだし、全般にぼってる。

古い建物を改装してあり、かわいらしい内装でした。 窓からはゲントリバーが見え、部屋の広さも十分にあり、快適に過ごせました。

立地は「金曜日広場」の傍で、街の中心「グラスレイ」「コーンレイ」からも4～500mと市内観光には大変便利。 名前のとおり川沿いには違いないが、川に面した部屋は一部に限られ、今回宿泊したエグゼクティヴルームは3Fとは言え眺望はホテルのレストランが見えるのみ。 国鉄の駅（St.Pieters）からのアプローチは、TAXIが現実的。4人乗車ならトラム利用と変わらない料金で大変便利。

昔の木材建築を利用してリノベーションをしたのでしょう。内装も雰囲気がよく、とても快適でした。 ただ一点だけ。古い木材にすみ着いているのか、虫（白アリ？）がどこからともなく現れてくるので、虫嫌いな御仁にはオススメできないかもしれません。

This hotel besides the old canal, easy to access sightseeing spot. Room is clean and bed is good.

Everything was wonderful! Location, facilities, service! Not a complaint at all! Our room was amazing! The check in went without any problems, even had our room ready early before we even asked! She recommended restaurants, showed us on a map where to find everything! So friendly and helpful! Wonderful room and charming facility.

First, this comment applies to all hotels in Ghent, if you are traveling in the summer time and you need AC, I highly recommend calling ahead your hotel and directly point blank ask if they have AC. I speak from a bad experience. And by AC I mean your room will not be cooler than 68 degrees Fahrenheit at best (or 20 to 25 Celsius). Now regarding, The Ghent River Hotel, this hotel has AC in each room which is a must in the summer time. The hotel is in an excellent location. You can walk everywhere. However, beware that you need an Uber or Taxi ride, these ride shares might not be able to reach you depending on the hotel location. The Ghent River Hotel is right at the end of the allowed area. We stayed in a 3 bed room that was very spacious and clean. The overall state of the hotel is that while modern, some things are outdated. For example, the elevators are very cramped and slow. The rugs in the common hallways are outdated. Some walls could use some maintenance and in the rooms the furniture is early 2000s to mid 2010s. Also, bring your charger or wall plug in connector as there are no modern USB charging stations in the rooms. also, beds are rather hard so if you are expecting a soft bad beware of this. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. So this made up for some of the other details that were not as polished. Overall it was great value for the cost. As a family, we would stay again at this hotel and would recommend.

We expected a great experience from our stay, but left underwhelmed The location is great The room is original and nice and breakfast was good What was underwhelming? The bar was behind the reception desk, not a nice and relaxing feel The shower soap was empty after one shower When visiting the toilet, it was to cramp for my wife, let alone me, a very average height person River view, yes, if you try and are tall Toilet smelled as it took odor of other toilets in the hotel Lights in bathroom are poor and there is no air circulation in the bathroom The clothes closet in the room is rather hard to open and close And when we left and they asked how did you enjoy your stay, our answer was, underwhelming Their response, ah yeah

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel is in a quiet location and yet only steps away from the centre and all popular spots.

The hotel room was modern with excellent shower in the bathroom The gym and sauna have not been renovated and the gym equipment works but is old and limited with only one pair of dumbbells with a small selection of weights to go on them Very central to the old town and lots of restaurants, only 5 minutes walk or less

Staff was rude when we arrived. Cool old room but the floors were noisy, so it was not ideal for kids. No hot water at all when getting ready one day. God breakfast.

Bedding was exceptional, reception extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Gym equipment a bit tired. Overall will definitely stay there again.
