Entering the fort by car was the highlight of this stay.

Ideally situated and ample safe parking. A wonderful building oozing history and elegance. Staff were polite, courteous and helpful. Bed was extremely comfortable. I found the bathroom a little cramped especially the shower but everything worked as it should. The room tended to be a little on the warm/hot side but they provided an adequate fan which was needed as there was no AC. Breakfast was very nice and served from 7am. The coffee was amazing and I loved the boiled eggs, meat and cheeses. Excellent stay.

A beautiful location and hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, albeit very warm, which was soon rectified with an open window and fan. Breakfast was well supplied and tasty. The room was cleaned and turned down daily. Would recommend this hotel as was reasonably priced for the facilities.

I booked this hotel for my husband who was on a motorbike trip with a group of friends. Excellent room, lovely dining room for breakfast and a special thank you to the reception manager, who was very helpful prior to arrival and during the visit.

Lovely hotel in a stunning old fort… the town itself is lacking with almost nothing to do, I would stay at this hotel again if just passing through. Very clean room although no Air Con (I’m guessing it can’t be fitted due to the construction of fort) so rooms were very hot.

Le cadre est incroyable, c'est vraiment une opportunité de pouvoir séjourner dans ce cadre historique. L'hôtel est très propre et bien entretenu, le personnel agréable. Les chambres sont un peu classiques mais très bien pour un court séjour. Le point négatif, c'est la chaleur dans la chambre même avec le radiateur éteint, on a été obligés d'ouvrir la fenêtre, avec le bruit que cela entraîne.

Très bon accueil, La chambre très propre. Le personnel a notre écoute. Nous avons passé un très bon moment. À refaire

Todo limpio, buenas camas, baños comodo. Llegamos a las 9 de la noche un día sábado y no pudimos comer nada! No tenían reservas en el restaurante y no nos ofrecieron ninguna alternativa, todo lo cercano al hotel o cerrado o muy lejos. Lo mejor e inolvidable es donde esta y el castillo maravilloso, soñado!!

Who doesn’t want to stop in a castle? Really nice rooms, great parking (after 6pm you can park inside the castle) especially if your on a motorcycle

Vi stannar gärna på detta fantastiska ställe på väg hem från semester. Snyggt, rent och med proffsig personal. Dessutom med en härlig historisk aura plus att våra hundar får följa med.

Lovely setting in the Chateau grounds , good parking. The restaurant was grossly understaffed with one waiter who was also in charge of the front desk and one waitress . They made a valiant effort but we waited about 40 minutes before anyone gave usa menu or offered us a drink. I ordered a steak which was about as bad a piece of meat as i ever had, full.of gristle and fat. All in all our dining experience was very disappointing - not blaming the staff who were run off their feet but remained cheerful and helpful, but the quality of the food was dreadful. Our room was spacious and well decorated and the bathroom was clean and well stocked with toiletries. I dont like giving negative reviews, but some aspects of this place definitely need improving. Also it was really badly sign-posted and we had to ask someone how to find it. She was a resident and had only a vague idea! Better (any!) directions would help.
