The room was clean and staff very friendly. The hotel could use a bit of an upgrade on the locks for the rooms. This is a hotel in a non tourist area, so caters to business more than tourists, but they were still very helpful.

Lovely property. Native painter in the lobby who makes Portuguese pottery. Excellent staff. Be sure to make reservations for dinner. Roman ruins a hit!

Needs a full renovation

Fabulous experience! Room was great - large, clean and had a bathtub. Made use of spa facilities. Sauna, steam room, whirlpool and indoor pool were terrific. Also had dinner in the restaurant where we had the best soup of our lives. Breakfast was extensive and well with the reasonable price.

We were visiting nearby attractions, and the hotel was well-located for this purpose.

The hotel is reasonable and fair - expected more for a 4-star. The restaurant is a negative point for me - you don't feel you are in a restaurant; it looks more like a regular room with tables and chairs (huge and heavy), which does not look great. The restaurant staff were not friendly, speaking too fast and low, which was hard to understand. Food took a long time and was nothing more than ordinary food. Rooms are not soundproof; you can hear everything from all the rooms when you are walking.

Hotel muito bonito, unindo o antigo com o moderno. As camas um pouco pequeninas, mas confortáveis. O SPA muito bom, embora se torne pequeno e barulhento para muita gente. O Jacuzzi tem pouca pressão para massagem. Funcionários simpáticos. Hoje o pequeno almoço às 10h estava quase escasso, pois não havia talvez uma boa gestão para o número de hóspedes que estavam no hotel.
