Clean room, obliging staff, great breakfast

The hotel seemed a bit dated and in need of a spruce up. Room was also cold as single glazed windows lets in cold air from outside.

This was our sixth visit to Oatlands Park and it didn't disappoint. We were upgraded to a Feature room, which was fabulous. The staff here are always lovely, from Reception, to the Bar, to the Restaurant, to Housekeeping - can't be faulted. On this visit we felt like we were the guests from hell, as we had to go to Reception four times to ask for assistance with various things but on every occasion the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. A special shout out to Tamara who served us at Breakfast and was an absolute delight! We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Lovely comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities. Hotel staff friendly and professional. made us aware of events in the hotel(Christmas Party) but put us in a quiet room away from any disturbance. Breakfast ,buffet style and topped up constantly by staff. Would like to have been offered tea rather than find staff to get tea but it wasn't a problem and staff happily got a pot of tea for us. Would recommend staying at this hotel, lovely grounds and building.

There was plenty of parking available and all staff we encountered were friendly. However our room was not up to standard. The toilet had a loud drip, the floor boards were extremely creaky. We appreciate it is an old building but we were awoken to the guests in the room above us walking around and the noise kept us up. We could hear every foot step. The door wasn't sealed so we had a square of light illuminating our room. We were exhausted after a long busy day and didn't want to change room so late, but we expected better quality for the money paid.

The room was spotless and the staff were very helpful.

Lovely entrance, however, the hotel was ridiculously hot (the bar area felt like a sauna). When I arrived in my room, it had been set at 25, which is far too hot for a bedroom. It took ages to come down to a reasonable heat. I did say good morning to a member of staff, who just blanked me, but reception staff were exceptional. The surroundings were beautiful. Was able to get an electric hook up without any trouble. Would recommend this hotel, but only if something is done about the heat, as it really was uncomfortable, I’m afraid.

Had to move rooms due to a large amount of bathroom floor tiles being loose with sharp edges exposed. New room better although king size bed is 2 separate mattresses

Enormous and generous breakfast! Extremely helpful staff.
