Excelente hotel la verdad….!!! Creo que solo faltan más actividades e imaginación para tener noches más entretenidas

Rommene var litt utdaterte og dusjen fungerte dårlig. Det var rent og personalet var hyggelig. Maten var god og stranda nydelig. Litt mye bråk rundt bassengområdet.

Overall ok, bars are terrible. Drinks terrible. Restaurants are good. I asked for upgrade of room two time and never was offered anything.

Upon arrival, the lobby looked outdated with parts of the roof missing, and the buffet area had a foul odor. Thankfully, the other restaurants were excellent with great food. Our first night was difficult — the room next door had a woman with several children screaming nonstop. I called the front desk twice for help, but no one answered. I eventually went to the door myself, and while the noise briefly quieted, it soon returned. The mom appeared drunk and overwhelmed, and the children were out of control. Overall, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but guest services were hesitant to provide smaller bills, which was frustrating since these were meant for tipping their own employees. Scheduling dinner reservations online was also a nightmare — the system doesn’t allow changes, and adjustments require a long walk to guest services. Another disappointment was the lack of communication about the privilege amenities. At check-in, nothing was mentioned, and I only learned days later about the privilege breakfast and dinner options, which I then missed out on. The free 30-minute massage, however, was excellent and a highlight of the stay. In summary, while the staff (outside guest services) were wonderful, the specialty restaurants were enjoyable, and the massage was amazing, the outdated facilities, noise issues, poor communication, and frustrating reservation system left a lot to be desired.

4 times here l have reviewed this resort before, l love everything with the exception of the food… like all my previous trips it is mediocre at best…

Le séjour au Catalonia playa maroma s’est globalement bien passé. Par contre on est loin des 5 étoiles annoncés. L’hôtel et les infrastructures sont vieillottes. Heureusement nous avions réservé une chambre privilège qui venait être rénovée et qui nous donnait l’accès à un restaurant où nous avons très bien mangé sinon aucune place de disponible dans les différents restaurants sur une période de 5 jours. De plus si vous cherchez un endroit où vous relaxer et Chiller autour de la piscine, ce n’est pas la peine : les transats sont réservés des 8h du mat et la musique bat son plein avec les animations qui se succèdent .. La plage est par contre magnifique et le Complexe dans la jungle avec une faunw et flore importante.. Autre point non negligeable : il n’y a pas d’ascenseurs et cela n’était pas précisé lors de la réservation.. personne ne nous a aidé pour descendre les valises à notre départ alors que nous avions demandé la veille à la réception.. Première et dernière fois pour nous au Catalonia maroma Il y a d’autres resort à Playa qui sont bcp mieux

Ojo por que si reservas por EXPEDIA te permite niños hasta de 17 años , pero al llegar y aún demostrando la edad me cobraron 6 mil pesos mexicanos y extras a lo ya pagado en EXPEDIA , algo digno de profeco

Our stay was amazing! I'd like to mention some people from the Resort that helped us a lot with our wonderful days in Catalonia. Consuelo, Fernanda and Veronica from Concierge. Luceli from Pajarito. Henrique from Lobby bar and Carolina from Reception. All of them helped to make our vacation just awesome! Thank you so much!

The resort was beautiful, lots of trees everywhere and it made you feel like you were in in the rainforest. The room, even thought we paid for a romance privilege package, we did not receive all that was mentioned on the site. The room was dated and not the newer one that was mentioned we would get. I was hoping that since you were paying more for the room it would be closer and more convenient to the beach and pool area, it was not. Save your money and get the cheaper rooms, closer to the beach and pool area. The staff in the buffet area, was a hit or miss on them being friendly and/or courteous. The buffet food overall not the greatest but it was not bad either. The staff in the restaurants were superb and the food very yummy, would suggest to make reservations ahead of time and eat there whenever possible. There are 5 specialty restaurants to try. My favorite was the Japanese one. If you are wanting night life this is not the resort for you. The pool closes at 8. Which was very disappointing, since it it extremely hot during the day and it would have been nice to have it open once the suns sets. If you are traveling with small kids then yes this will be good for your family. Overall it was a pretty place with animals running all over the place, which I love. Would I go there again probably not.

The beach

The bar was opening at the 11:00 a.m.. and closed at 8:00 p.m.. sometimes earlier.

It was a small property but clean. I personally did not like the fact that there were so many animals loose on the property. They where everywhere by the pool, food, on your balcony, etc

Nice and clean property with friendly staff and good food. Nice beach front with palm trees for shade. Coati's everywhere for those who like wildlife! Evening entertainment was fun. I would definitely stay there again.

The property is serene and quiet (not a party resort) which was great. Its also not a huge resort which is nice. The beach was not usable during our stay due to the Sargassum weed issue (do your research before booking anywhere in Mexico during the summer). We spent all our time in the pool which was great. The only down side to this resort was an issue with service which was not handled well. We booked dinner at one of the restaurants the first night and when we arrived they informed us that its only for their privilege members which we were not. They couldn't tell me why their system let me book it. They offered to seat us in 2 other restaurants but only if we were willing to purchase a $50USD bottle of wine. Aside from this incident which was not great the overall stay was pleasant and I would recommend the resort.

Relaxing! Love the place, food and staff! We came back again after 7mos.
