チェスター市内で宿泊先を探したのですが、好さげなところは全て一杯だったため、隣り町に在るこのマナハウスを予約しました。料金が低廉だったので、メンテが充分に出来ていないのではないかと心配だったのですが、嬉しい外れでした。設備も庭園も充分に整備されています。浴室の化粧鏡は、風呂やシャワーを使っても曇らないよう、電熱入りだったのには感心しました。レセプショニストの女性も親切でした。強いてケチをつけるなら、夕食のテーブルが、混んでもいないのに、食堂入口脇だった事くらいです。然し、この宿泊料で、これだけのところは、滅多に無いでしょう。

Staff are very attentive, food excellent. Clean room. Very quiet.

Room carpet & walls were poorly maintained . TV needed attention . Staff opened my room door whilst I was still in bed

All was lovely as always.

The breakfast service was terrible. Tables not cleared up. Long waiting times. Told I could only have full breakfast even though I am vegetarian. Reported problem to reception staff.

We spent a lovely night at the hotel when visiting Liverpool. The staff was courteous. The room was tidy and impeccable. The view around the property was stunning. The property is located at a tranquil area surrounded by farms. We saw rabbits' family running around on the lawn.

Lovely old building in a beautiful setting. Our only complaint was two small room issues. There was a noise from the door when the nearby door to the landing was opened. The carpet was not fully stretched. These were pointed out to reception and will hopefully be rectified. We would use this hotel again.

Beautiful setting and lovely buildings. Room was good but stairs are a killer if on floor2 - I had notified about accessibility. Food was great and staff in bar were very attentive- both were excellent. Noisy room 22 - due to kitchen air conditioning right outside window - great after restaurant and bar closed. Would go back.

The hotel is a little tired and could do with some TLC. Tennis court and bowling greens have seen much better days, despite the grounds in general being very beautiful. Staff got our steak orders the wrong way round, and a range of other little things made this a very average stay

Jeg bodde her 1 natt ifm gjennomreise. Hotellet ligger SUPERT til i et flott og stille parkanlegg. Parkering skjer på hotellets område (inkludert) Selve rommet var fint og komfortabelt i gammel stil med bra størrelse og de mest nødvendige fasiliteter; Vannkoker med te og kaffe (kun decaf 🤔🤔🤔), et LITE TV og WIFI. Rommet hadde ikke AC, men det var mulig å åpne de store vinduene Badet hadde også grei størrelse og utstyr Begge rom bar preg av slitasje; innredning faller fra hverandre / er ødelagt / råttent. Det kunne virke som om rommet hadde stått ubrukt en stund basert på de døde insektene i vinduskarm og på gulv ved ankomst. Jeg spiste middag i hotellets restaurant, der frokosten også ble servert - et flott og historisk rom. Alternativt kan en bestille fra annen meny i baren Jeg bestilte; - foccacia til forrett - lamm til hovedrett - ett stort glass rødvin Jeg spurte om hvilket kjøttstykke av lammet de serverte siden det ikke var spesifisert, men det kunne ikke kelneren svare på. Foccacia ble servert med smør, olje og balsamico og smakte meget godt. Lammet ble servert med en Marokkansk tvist og smakte også meget godt 😋😋😋 men kjøttet kunne med fordel vært vesentlig mørere - dette krevde MYE av kjevemusklene Frokosten (Inkludert) var rikholdig og holdt høy standard med flere varme retter å velge mellom - enkelte mot et tillegg. Jeg valgte "full English" 😋😋😋 Utenom restaurant og bar var det lite å se / oppleve av det herskapelige huset. I nærområdet er det l

This was a one night stopover and so the room was adequate for that purpose. The staff were friendly and efficient. Noise levels from within the hotel (doors, water running, voices) were a reminder of what hotels used to be like. The hotel is in lovely grounds and the view from the window was great. This lovely, old Manor House feels sad and in desperate need of renovation.

Excellent value for money in beautiful surroundings. A nice boutique hotel which is worth a visit

Overall lovely hotel experience. 1 night stopover. Food was ok but could be much better, hence the 4star overall.

Lovely Manor House and superb bar and restaurant.

The hotel is a good stay but I’m concerned about the way the keep and destroy personal data. On checking in a was asked for id, not a usual thing but perfectly okay. The person on reception then tried to take a photocopy. When I asked why I was told it was for any damages. I asked how my data would be destroyed after departure and they couldn’t explain, they also didn’t seem to understand why I was bothered about it. He should me a stack of check in forms with photocopied id attached. They were just on the desk, anyone could access them, and bear in mind when I checked in the desk was unattended. In the end I refused to let him take a copy. It is unusual for a hotel to ask for ID, this is needed for those that are not uk citizens but it is not usual to them photocopy and as far as I’m concerned unnecessary as I can’t see how that will help recoup any room damage costs. For this reason I wouldn’t stay again, I found the reason and process very slack

The property is looking very tired and is in a desperate need of a very good clean.

A beautiful building and the loveliest of staff made this overnight stay a wonderful one.
