The room and atmosphere was amazing

Good old fashioned southern hospitality. A warm welcome and introduction to the facilities has more than prepared us for our stay at this beautiful resort.

This is my second time staying at this location. The first time I encountered a lot of noise from the parking lot, hallways and adjacent rooms. I spent the extra money to upgrade this time hoping for more quiet accommodations, but it didn't matter, it was just different noise. I could hear people walking in the room above me to the point it sounded like they were going to break through the floor. Around 1am I was awoken to people with kids either outside or in the room next door chatting for at least a half hour. They weren't extraordinarily noisy, just paper thin walls. I tried twice. The hotel has great potential, but what good is it if you can hear every little whisper and step? I won't stay again. On the nights I have, it's been important for me to be well rested the next day and this place has proven twice that that's not going to happen.

Wonderful weekend with lake views from our room, comfortable beds, tasty breakfast also. Easy parking, and went fishing right on the property.

Location was great! Staff was wonderful! They were friendly, helpful, and always pleasant. Property could use a little polishing up,though. Starting to show wear in some places. I'd definitely go back again.

Terrible breakfast. No pool or hot tub. Internet was out much of the time.

Staying here while helping with disater relief, so just wanted a hot shower and place to sleep. Overpriced outdated rooms. No water 2 mornings in a row, and the fire alarm randomly going off at 3 am causing everyone to evacuate for hours, which by the reaction of the staff, seems to happen often. No manager on site while we stayed. Left multiple messages with the front desk to speak with the manager (Shawn Kosloff), but no response.

Let me start by saying that the staff was fantastic! Friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. They were a bright spot in an otherwise unpleasant stay. Our bathroom sink was completely clogged, the toilet was stained, and the bathtub/shower had visible grime. Breakfast options were extremely limited. The milk, though within its expiration date, was spoiled and had huge chunks in it. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.
