Clean room. Helpful receptionist

A budget hotel with small bar and ample parking. Easy access to 14 and A1(M).

Room was somewhat fine, but there were questionable stains on the carpet and some spiders & insects in the bathroom, indicating it’s not thoroughly cleaned frequently. One of my towels had what looked like a small blood stain on it. Was severely disappointed with the ‘highly rated’ breakfast which turned out to be cereal and toast.

Our arrival was admittedly very late - 2.30am. TV in our room did not work at all. The 24 hr Receptionist could not communicate so unable to help about the TV. Breakfast was self service Toast/Strawberry Jam and Cereals. Staff hardly any spoke English.We had to leave very early so no experience of whether the Bar was open or not. Very poor quality hotel so will not ever stay there again.

Basic lodge but clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very basic, toast and/or cereals only. If on a budget this is very reasonable place to stay.

WiFi was terrible, shower didn’t work, what an absolute hole - never again

The room had horrid smell had to get can air freshner. Would sudgest a deep clean of carpet.breakfast was adequate . Noise banging about from guests coming in late at midnight.shouldnt let dogs in breakfast room.

The budget hotel is in a good location with a good breakfast.

Redwing was v clean and the staff v helpful. However, it was advertised as having a snooker table and games in a have room but there was only a fruit machine. Also the air conditioning in the bar/dining area didn't work. Although there was a bar with gin, there was no tonic!!! It was an extremely hot week and the bedrooms were very hot but the fans provided did little to help.1 of the beds in the twin room really needs a new mattress as it was completely sunken in the middle and I would suggest taking an extension lead as there is a huge lack of electric points, with none near the beds. There are however lots of things close by and I would highly recommend Hamerton Zoo.

Perfectly good for what it is, a handy hotel on the side of the road. Clean, tidy and everything needed worked. The staff are nice and welcoming. A good place to get your head down on the way.

Shower went from scalding hot to freezing cold…place is dated,will not return

Get what you pay for. Small bed. Was probably nice in 1994 lol

Staff were very polite and friendly. Very clean and good location. Bed was very comfy and room had plenty of space. But…… decor, breakfast, exterior, road, games room all awful. No imagination or inspiration. Doesn’t need money just some thought and energy. Won’t stay again would rather pay £25 more for better quality. Worst of all our room absolutely stank weed and it certainly wasn’t us!!

Budget hotel, very clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money.
