レンタカーで到着。 12時頃の到着だったがすぐに部屋に案内された。 部屋は白を基調としたシンプルなインテリアで居心地がよい。リネン類、ベッドの質、インテリアなどのメンテナンス状況も申し分ない。 宿泊客が利用できる暖炉のあるラウンジがとても居心地がよかった。 朝食はアラカルトスタイル。 Hunter Valley近辺の質の高い野菜、卵、パンが使われたシンプルなもので、このホテルのセンスのよさが出ていた。

自然に囲まれた心地よいホテルでした。朝食を食べながらカンガルーを眺められたのも素敵な経験です。

Great restaurant

Room was great. Service felt like it had dropped a bit, no pool bar service, breakfast isn’t what it used to be an a general feel that wasn’t at the level we have experienced here previously. Air con was set so cold in the restaurant we were sat in the lounge after dinner with blankets on! Just dragged the the whole meal experience down which was one of the main reasons we come back. Reconsidering this now.

Room was nicely decorated and well kept, but overall it does not come across as a luxury accommodation. The staffs are friendly and welcoming but those at breakfast could do with better efficiency and higher service standards, for example, they do not show us to a table and took a while to come back for your drinks and hot food order.

A lovely place to stay whilst visiting the Hunter Valley, quiet , beautifully appointed and great staff. An evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. Very good hotel wouls recommend to anyone.

Could not recommend Spicers Guesthouse enough. Fantastic from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.

Seeing kangaroos roaming around while having breakfast was the highlight

We’ve stayed at Spicers Guesthouse several times, and it has become a favourite for accommodation in Pokolbin. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, ie they are able to help with most queries without having to consult with supervisors or managers. The rooms are clean, spacious enough, and well appointed.

We had such a beautiful stay here and have already recommended it to everyone we know. The spa/pool was a dream and everything was so peaceful. The restaurant was delicious aswell. The only 2 baby flaws I had was that there was some rubbish by the spa on our first day and it was still there the following morning (it had just blown down a bit). It was only like a wrapper or something plastic but rubbish in general grosses me out. The other was that the big outdoor fireplace wasn’t put on and we were really looking forward to sitting there. We did end up sitting up the top and chatting with some other lovely couples but it would have been nice to sit down the bottom there. Otherwise everything was 10/10. The check in was super easy, the room was clean and the views were lovely. We will definitely be returning

A wonderful peaceful weekend break. A stunning hotel, quiet with friendly staff and a great restaurant, pool, room
