The hotel was advertised as being recently refurbished. However, it was hard to tell as the decor is dated and the communal areas are definitely aged. The biggest issue with room 209 was the complete lack of water pressure. It ages for the sink to fill and having a shower felt like a pointless experience due to the water pressure being so low, but amazingly the shower/bath still managed to flood the bathroom floor when being used. The bathroom also had a funky smell when I first walked in but was on once properly aired and if you like privacy in the bathroom the windows are not frosted or covered with a blind.
The room was also stifling hot. Only a fan was provided which didn’t help in temperatures over 30c. This meant a very poor nights sleep. Also during my stay I wasn’t able to get the WiFi to work. Not what you’d expect for £90 a night. I would have had a better experience in a Travelodge or other budget hotel
