The location was not bad and the room had the minimum essentials. But there was something wrong with staff. At check-in, I asked a receptionist to keep my baggage after check-out. He cheerfully answered yes and I felt relieved. In the early morning on my check-out day, the fact was that another receptionist on night duty told me just to leave it near the front desk without their eyes on it. He declared not to secure it and said that they could give me no luggage ticket or receipt. When I requested to put it into other secure space, he told me that I should have to stay at another high class hotel. Of course, he may not be wrong but his attitude was not "keeping a guest's baggage", at least in my book. Couldn't he understand his duty as a receptionist? Were there misunderstandings between two receptionists? Was my expectation too high for an usual motel in USA? I have no idea.
