パンデミック以降チェックインシステムが変わった。事前にパスポート写真やクレカ含む情報を送る。最初は心配だったけど(エクスペディアではそういう情報は送るなという案内があるので)本物。基本的にフロントには人がいないので、アーリーチェックインはできないし荷物を預けることもできない。どうしてもという場合はチェックイン当日に電話連絡をして部屋の空き状況を確認してもらう必要がある(代表からハウスキーパーに連絡するので10分とか30分後とかに再度確認電話を入れることになる)。順番に清掃しているのを待つため、早く入れても13時とか14時くらい。それ以外はロビーか地下の大きな部屋で待つ。ただスタッフはとても親切で、スタッフに会えれば荷物を預かってくれることもある。会えなければ待つので早朝フライトで着いた観光したい人は注意が必要。ロケーションは駅近で良い。1ブロック歩けばホールフーズがある。パンデミック前後とも2回くらいずつ宿泊しているが、いつも清掃は行き届いている。地下にコーヒー、氷、大型冷蔵庫、タオル、プラスチックのカトラリーなどがある。時々チョコバーなどスナックがあることもあったが前回はなかった。屋上からの眺めはとても良くテーブルもあるのでご飯を食べている人もいる。一番小さな部屋はスーツケースを開ける場所もないくらいなので2人で泊まる時は一つ大きい部屋の方がいいかもしれないがただ寝るだけならそれもありだと思う。部屋にはコーヒーメーカー、電子レンジ、ミニ冷蔵庫がある。シャワールームの石鹸はシャンプー兼ボディソープというものなのでコンディショナーが必要ならば持参を。

フロントには常にスタッフがいるわけではないですが、困った時に電話したら来てくれました。（結局、問題は解決されたのでその時に顔は合わせてない） 翌日に会った時にとてもフレンドリーで感じが良かったです。 部屋は清潔で冷蔵庫、電子レンジも付いていました。 難点を挙げると、大通りに面しているので夜中にパトカーの音が気になりました。 メトロの駅が近く、少し離れている駅からでも徒歩圏内です。

Very small and noisy.

Small room but NICEST BATHROOM IVE seen. GREAT BED. Comes with microwave, fridge. LOCATED RIGHT BY KATZ DELI. Perfect for going to bars or late night eating. Would 100% stay again.

I had a terrible experience with the ridge after realizing that my booking date was wrong within 5 seconds of booking. All I wanted was for my reservation to be moved to the following weekend but they refused to help with this and essentially took hundreds of dollars from me without providing me with a service. The front desk bluntly let m know that the owner could easily help me but won't.

Easy check in and helpful staff.

Not worth it.

We had called the property before we booked and asked about the rooftop and whether it would be open or not, and they told us it was however, when we got there, there was no rooftop permitted. That was the reason we were staying there and they misled us before we made the reservation. And they would not do anything for compensation on the back end when we checked out I believe this was very misleading and I think there was a lot of people that were very upset about this.

Overall I don't like that receptionist lady she always talking angry face and she didn't support.

Great place and location in New York. The rooms could be touched up a bit but overall was good

The hotel is perfectly situated. There’s a ton of things to do. It’s a nice, clean , chill spot to stay the night.

There were plenty of restaurants in the area and we tried a few. The ones we chose turned out to be very good. The first night we had a problem with the bed squeaking whenever we moved. After a few adjustments, it was fine the rest of the nights. Overall, the bed was comfortable and the sheets clean.

Easy to get to

Perfect location for exploring the Lower East side. Easy subway access. Staff were very helpful as we needed to leave bags while we toured on our last day. Lobby is to always staffed but they have a sister hotel nearby so they send staff over to assist as needed. Room was small but perfect. Toiletries are barebones but less wasteful so I am good with that. Only disappointment was the roof top was under renovation so didn’t get to see it. Oh well, next time!

Wonderful spot in the heart of the lower east side at a reasonable price. My third time staying there and I will be back.

This hotel is unique because it is not the traditional hotel. We wanted some where to stay without the cost of the expensive amenities that we would not have used while visiting New York. It was a clean room, very private and easy to get to. We did a lot of sightseeing which meant we were out 80% of the day and just used the hotel to sleep and clean up. It was perfect! There are several restaurants, cafes, and parks to walk through. If you have a vehicle, plan on using a garage, there is no hotel parking. I will definitely be visiting the Ridge hotel again.
