Wonderful morning hot meals and friendly hotel staff.

The rooms were clean, staff was great, breakfast was hot and fresh, and the pool & hot-tub were relaxing after 10 hours on the road. Dog friendly as well! Can’t ask for much more than that. We’ll for sure stay here again next year.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, steps from Sobeys, Sunset grill and Costco. Not too far from the reversing falls too. The negatives are that the property really shows its age from the exterior and interior. There is definitely a lack of noise insulation, and Noise from our neighbours and those above leak through, including the loud footsteps and voices of children. Lots of kids stayed at the hotel while we were there, credit the waterslide that accompanies the pool. Definitely recommend ear plugs to sleep at night. The sofabed was too thin and you can feel the springs, not recommended unless you are a small child.

Breakfast was very good and well stocked. Pool was great on Monday busy on Sunday. Bed was quite creaky but shower was nice and hot and water pressure was good. Fan was quite loud on air conditioner turned it off when sleeping.

The kids loved the pool and waterside. The hottub had something wrong as the kids when they were in it coughed a lot. It also took my breath away. The chemicals were strong. The next morning it said out of order. Other than that, the hotel room, breakfast, and staff was so friendly. I would recommend.

We’ve been staying @the HIS (this SJ location) about 6 times a year, for 2 + years. Our last visit was rather unpleasant, and quite frankly rather disappointing. The grout on the bathroom floor was coming-up between the floor tiles, a mess and first noticed, as I walked in the bathroom barefoot (ouch). This was easily noticed by cleaning staff, but never rectified. An inspection would have indicated an intervention was past-due The adjacent room decided to have a party! At 1:45 am, I called down to the front desk for some peace and quiet …party shut-down @3:00am. In the morning, when ask how my stay was? I explained the lack of sleep problem - “sorry to hear,” was the reply. I assumed the Hotel has security that monitor the facilities during, and after hours, if so, they would have identified the noise during the “quiet time hours” posted off each elevator floor. A very annoying experience!

We did not check in because I called after booking with expedia and the lady told me there were no rooms for pets available. What the nuts. Then eliminate it on expedia bookings for nights pet rooms are full . Wow thx
