Beautiful room in a gorgeous boutique hotel in picturesque Portloe. The views from the restaurant and terrace are stunning. Will definitely be back !

The view and location is wonderful and every member of staff was excellent, really friendly and helpful from the second we arrived.

Overall really loved the Hotel. Lovely view from our room over the bay. The staff were really lovely and helpful. One problem we did have was the menu shown on the website has obviously not been brought up to date. Before visiting we had chosen what we wanted from the online menu (which also stated a 10% surcharge) only to find a completely different menu on arrival with a 12.5 % surcharge. Having arrived after a long journey I ended up having a bowl of soup! This may be useful for future visitors as nowhere else to eat locally. The breakfast, however, was perfect.

Fantastic place to stay with glorious views and very lovely staff

Quiet and idyllic place to stay -

We had a wonderful stay at the Lugger. My Dad is terminally ill and frail. He spent many summers as a boy in Portloe and one of his final wishes was to return for a holiday. Four of us from 3 generations went to stay. From the moment i spoke to the team there about the booking to the moment we left they couldn’t have been more accommodating or understanding. Every member of staff went the extra mile to help him. It was a fantastic weekend to relax and enjoy the hotel and the area with several great meals, good wine and fantastic breakfasts. It all made my dad so happy and created great memories for us all. I highly recommend and just want to say thank you.

Everything was amazing, the staff were engaging, friendly and attentive, the room was warm and very well decorated, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and the location was breathtaking.

A really fantastic position, The Lugger is a great hotel, with super rooms and friendly staff. Only downside WIFI not good and menu and wine list, somewhat uninspiring. But still very much worth a visit!

Fantastisk ophold på fem dage. Vi nød at have egen terrasse med udsigt over vandet. Det kan klart anbefales. Super søde hotelansatte og rigtig dejlig mad i restauranten. Den eneste ulempe var den smalle vej igennem Portloe.
