年代物の調度品が揃えられた室内は，趣味がよく，センスを感じさせる。スタッフも全員親切で，丁寧に対応してくれた。

フロントの方も皆様 とても親切で快適なホテルです。 夜、ホテルにレストランがなかったのですが、セレクトが要望通りでした。

ベローナの観光名所の中心:エルベ広場から２０ｍ位の至近距離にあり、バス利用ではエルベ広場で降車して通り名で確認すればすぐに見つかる。 ヨーロッパの伝統的なスタイルのホテル、部屋は少し狭いが２人では十分な広さと思う。朝食も種類が豊富で非常に美味しい。 図書室には古い書物も有り、ダンテの新曲の解説、ヒストリーの豪華本(５０ｘ７０ｃｍ位）がテーブルに置かれていて 全頁をめくり、楽しむことができた。スタッフも親切で、適切な、過不足のない対応がされていた。

朝食がめちゃくちゃまずかったです！イタリアに10回ほど来ているけれど、こんなにまずいの初めて！

We visited Verona after the skin in Dolomitii. Although Hotel Gabbia d’Oro was located at the center of Verona, it was as calm and comfortable as we could take a rest and be relaxed. The front ladies were very kind, and taught us the very nice restaurants. We like pasta very much, and we could enjoy seven kinds of pasta during three days in Verona.

What a great hotel- my room was on 4th floor, with huge old beams, skylights, and antique furnishings. The common areas on the first floor are stunning, feels like someone’s mansion. The location next to the main square and Museo Palazzo Maffei is fantastic The staff is helpful and classy. It was a huge challenge to drive to the front door however- Apple maps had me on extremely small lanes, I gave up and parked in a public lot on the other side of the river and walked. By walking around after I got there, and looking carefully at the layout and size of the one way streets, it can be done. I thought the hotel was very special, and relatively inexpensive

Old world property.

The hotel is well positioned in the old town with walking distance to all tourist points. The building architecture and interior design is very beautiful and romantic.

The room is not a suite. It doesn’t have a window. The bed had an enormous fabric decorative thing over the bed head visually ugly. And an enormous hazard. No fire stairs. All were open so smoke could or will travel everywhere on the escape routes. Cluttered decor stiffed with stuff , overstuffed.

Very beautiful and convenient location. Lovely staff. For a 5 star we wished for a shower door and possibly chocolates at turn-down service. Breakfast was plentiful but bread selection was dry and stale. Overall lovely stay which would be perfected with small improvements.

Hotel Gabbia d’Oro is a true gem tucked beside Piazza delle Erbe in Verona. It’s old—very old—and that’s exactly what gives it such charm. The hotel exudes quiet elegance with just the right touch of quirk: a tiny vintage lift, oversized brass keys, and a bar that feels transported from another century. What truly sets it apart, however, is the exceptional service. Check-in was seamless, transportation and dinner reservations were handled effortlessly, and every staff member I met was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. My room was comfortable and inviting, complete with a separate sitting area that added to its sense of calm and space. One moment perfectly captured the spirit of the place: I had a very early flight, and as I waited in the lobby for my taxi, the doorman quietly appeared with a steaming cup of coffee and two croissants—completely unprompted. That thoughtful gesture summed up my entire stay: gracious, personal, and infused with old-world care. A truly beautiful and memorable experience—I’d recommend it without hesitation.
