We chose this hotel because we wanted to stay at a traditional local hotel rather than a standard chain hotel. The hotel managers were very kind and well-mannered, and we were greeted in a friendly manner, which made us feel very comfortable. We liked the room itself, the corridors, and the layout of the hotel. Looking out the window at the backyards, the trees in the neighbors' gardens, and the rows of houses is something you never tire of. The sky is wide, and the clouds and the colors of the sky that change over time are hard to forget. There was an induction cooker in the shared kitchen, and the microwave in the room was convenient and we used it often. It was also great that there was a parking lot and that the cathedral and the shopping mall in the city center were within walking distance. This is a recommended hotel that has a homey feel, is convenient, and comfortable.

駅からは徒歩１５分くらいで、大聖堂などがある中心部からも近いとは言えない。自家用車で来ている客が多かった。チェックインの１３時半前に到着したところ、まだ部屋の準備ができていなかったが、すぐ紅茶を用意してくれ、一息つかせてくれた。スタッフはとてもフレンドリー。ロビーはアンティークな雰囲気、壁には市内の歴史的建物などの写真付きガイドが貼ってあったり、なかなか楽しめた。部屋は狭かったものの、カーテンやベッドなど、かわいい雰囲気だった。お湯は沸かせるのもよかった。冷蔵庫がないのは残念。朝食はイングリッシュブレックファーストをつくってくれ、美味しくいただいた。WiFiは部屋ではつながらず、ロビーに出たら大丈夫だった。

小さな部屋でしたが1泊だった為問題はありませんでした。 朝食もイングリッシュブレックファーストをオーダーしましたがすごく美味しくお昼までお腹が減りませんでした 。 ただスーツケースを広げると部屋は狭く感じますし、シャワーがよく見ないとある事すらわからないくらい奥に設置してました。 ホテルに着いたらスタッフ(オーナーさんだと思われる)方が市内の事を色々説明してくれました。

駅からは歩いて行けるし、徒歩５分以内の距離にテスコあり。金曜の夜の宿泊で９０００円程度。部屋もロンドンのように手狭ではないし、アメニティは最小限であるが、清潔である。お勧めします。

ロンドンの狭くて高いホテルに慣れていたせいか、手ごろな値段での快適な滞在にとても満足しました。もちろん5つ星ホテルのような洗練さはありませんが、ホテル内は清潔に保たれていて、朝食（English Breakfastの方）も個人的には、とてもおいしかったです。歩いて5分ほどのところに、tesco expressがあります。聖堂までは、歩いて行けなくはないかもしれませんが、車があったほうが便利です。ホテルの裏側に駐車場があります。

Quaint older hotel - rooms on the small side but comfortable, staff was helpful, available breakfast was quite filling.

Hôtel d’un certain âge mais propre, à quelques minutes à pied du centre ville. Les propriétaires sont très avenants.

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Despite being a 2 star hotel, they found us somewhere to park and helped carry our bags to our room. This is a basic hotel, but that’s why it costs a little less. But it is clean, friendly, we had a lovely room and a very good television with loads of options on it, which you don’t get at some hotels. The breakfast was extra, but it was certainly worth the £8.50. The sausages and bacon in particular were very tasty. I would recommend this hotel because it’s great value for money. It’s close to the railway station, the bus station, the town centre and the cathedral. It has its own car park and the room facilities are great. The staff were so great too. So friendly and helpful.

Manager was lovely and very helpful. The room was clean and she let us put our cases in our room even though she hadn’t cleaned it yet.lovely outside space to sit and eat or chat and while away the hours, weather permitting. Parking area at the back which is part of the hotel. Lots of stairs if your on the upper floors. Within walking distance to the town centre which has gone down hill a bit since our last visit.

Hotel looks unremarkable from the front, but it has a nice garden in the back and a free parking space. Rooms were well equipped and the breakfast was good. A footwalk to the city. Recommended

Amazing place, the people are just awesome and very friendly.

Nice comfy king size bed, kind pleasant host. Free parking, easy walk to city centre, cathedral and quayside shopping. 1st visit to Gloucester, and won't be out last.

Second time I've stayed at The Edward. The room was clean and comfortable with generous amount of complimentary tea and coffee. I've always found the staff friendly and helpful. Free parking on site so close to City Centre is also a plus. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Clean and tidy, a great friendly and helpful check in. Good size room with en-suite. The building is characteristic of its age and nicely maintained. The bonus is free parking at the back of the property.

Good location comfortable rooms and nice and quiet. I stayed for work but plan to return for a more relaxing visit.
