Staff were very helpful and kind! But fixtures and facilities are need to be improved. A hair dryer was broken so I asked another one but that was also broken. Since I have changed the room on my 2nd day then a hairdryer in that room was broken again! Socket were very few. Lightning equipment were very few then room was dim so it was hard to me to read a book. Heating appliance's switch was stopped at the hotel 's foundation.At other hotels I could adjust heating appliance's switch in our room. (Since I wanted our wet clothes dry so I asked that then they gave me another portable type heating appliance.) Asking those things them were troublesome.(Staff were very kind!) On a bed there was just heavy fabric but no soft like futon(it was at other hotels)then feeling in bed was not good. Somebody 's hairs were on cushions and were inside of the dressing table's drawers.

The Arbutus Hotel takes customer service to a whole new level. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The servers and receptionist were particularly attentive to my mother's gluten restriction with breakfast and dinner. The hotel is in a beautiful building with lots of intricate decorations and objects to look at. Our room, however, needed work. The heating came through an overhead fan that made noise every time the vents opened or shut, so I had to sleep with earplugs. The bathroom fan was also loud. The lights were confusing to operate, and one of the bedside lamps didn't work. The room was mostly clean, but the shower had some mold.

I enjoyed the quaint ambience very much. Our room was a generous size, which we appreciated. The staff were all delightful. We dropped by the pub Saturday night and the musicians were very talented, playing traditional Irish music that had me toe-tapping. My main suggestion is about food because I am Celiac and need gluten-free options. The options were limited, and I would have liked to have a small fridge in the room for food I keep with me because of the limited menu options I often am dealing with.

Top notch hotel with a great staff. It has an old-school vibe which is very charming. Great pub next-door that is more locals, which is nice versus all the tourist traps along the street.

Perfect location, warm and inviting , active pub, good food

The room was super spacious and every single staff member was exceptionally fun and kind. The bar was such a hit we literally went for one drink and stayed for 6 hours!

The quality of the hotel was exceeded only by the quality of the staff. Everyone was courteous, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable, especially the mattress, and the bathrooms crystal clean. And the breakfast was outstanding. The Arbutus gets our highest recommendation. I

Clean, friendly, and walking distance to the charm of the town.

The atmosphere was lovely, the staff was fantastic. My room was facing the street so quite noisy but I’m a heavy sleeper so I was fine. The shower had hair on the floor when I got there and I couldn’t tell if the floor was just old or not quite clean. Overall a fine stay considering the main goal was to go around the ring of Kerry, not to stay in my hotel room! The location was great for nearby eats & pubs too.

Wonderful one night stay at Arbutus Hotel in Killarney. The location is fantastic. The room was wonderful and the service top notch.

Wonderful staff and very spacious rooms. Stayed in a triple room (for 3 people) and it was more than big enough. Very warm feeling in this hotel. Breakfast in the morning was really good. Good quality food and you can tell they put their heart into their service. Bathrooms are nice and spacious. I would stay again.
