Use this hotel for years and it's just as good as it was years ago staff polite breakfast is very good ; rooms very clean parking free on the property if they are not doing food at night the pub across the road is and they supply plates if you want a takeaway

Easy to find, nice large room and very friendly staff. Was able to park in their small car park easily. Room serviced daily. Plentiful towels and was warm in a cold snap. Shower/ bathroom but old fashioned- and water pressure lacking so unable to wash hair easily

Location is perfect, close to lots of things to do and see. The staff are all very nice and friendly, can't folt them at all. The room we stayed in could do with a bit of an upgrade in the bathroom and a freshen up but it was still a nice enough stay. Food was beautiful, dining room was very clean and nicely presented. Would highly recommend.

As said before such a lovely friendly hotel. Staff are great. A little old but clean and crisp bedding. Amazing breakfast. Would recommend.

Easy parking, non manned reception, mattresses uncomfortable, pillows lumpy, road noise never ending. Needs secondary glazing and blackout curtains. Good heating and massive tv.

The room size was good. The staff came and helped. However there was no heating on in the building anywhere. We found two small oil filled radiators and in speaking with some guests the following morning, the heating was not going to come on until 1 November.

Room was on the smaller side but had everything needed. Bathroom was huge with a bath which was nice but no way to control the room temperature which was on the cold side especially at night in October. It seems towel rail and heating were connected but was off. Staff didn’t seem to know how to deal with this issue. Hot water bottle needed if visiting this time of year.

The hotel is currently not staffed at all except for breakfast. There is no one available to check you in and no restaurant or bar. Nowhere on Expedia does it say this. I had to call to get someone to let me in the hotel, then another guest had taken my room key in an envelope by mistake (all self service) so someone had to drive down and work out what had happened. Very inconvenient. Parking also limited. Breakfast was good though.

The rooms was okay, albeit a bit tired. Breakfast was disappointing as no hot food available. Should have been offered a small refund as a gesture.

We only stayed one night. The staff / team were excellent and very friendly.The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The only gripe was there were no bath towels on our arrival just after 4pm. We eventually received them just after 9pm in the evening. Apart from that, everything else was fine.

Nice room with 4poster bed but no full length mirror, only 2 coat hangers and a mixture of old and new furniture. Bathroom rather tired with wobbly toilet seat, dirty toilet brush and sink that took ages for water to drain away. Breakfast included but not much choice. Expected more from a 4* hotel. Restaurant and bar not open in the evening despite website advertising it which was one one the reasons for booking this hotel in the first place. Hotel not staffed after 6pm and door access not easy with key pad.
