中心地からは少し離れますが、中心地・空港へのバス亭はすぐ近くです。 ずっと道なりなので、時間はかかりますが中心地まで歩いていくことも可能です。 近くにはいくつかレストランもありますし、スーパーも目の前のあるので便利です。 そしてやはり海の近くというのが良かったです。 部屋も広くて清潔です。バスタブもありました。 オーシャンビューの部屋をおすすめします。 とても素敵な眺望で、テラスでのんびりできます。 次回も泊まりたいと思えるホテルでした。 安くはありませんでしたが、満足しています。

時間が取れなくて、数泊出来なかったのが、残念で仕方ありません。　スタッフがとても親切です。　部屋もバスルームも無駄なくおしゃれで、プールも清潔で美しい海が眺められます。　無料Ｗｉ-Ｆｉも嬉しかったです。サプライズは朝食です。　バイキングですが、種類の多さと、食材がそれぞれ吟味されていて美味しいです。　お好みのオムレツを目の前で焼いてくれます。　ベッドも寝心地良くて、ダウンの薄かけ蒲団がやわらかくて寛げます。　これがリゾートホテルの過ごし方だとおもいました。大満足です。　何とか時間を作って、また泊まりたいです。

Property staff quite friendly and speak plenty if languages. Check in was available early and checkout we were able to store our luggage and use all the facilities until we were ready to leave funchal. Breakfast buffet is incredible with plenty of variety and volume. No nuisance birds due to on-site falconry. Would recommend, and return. Stayed with adult friends.

Wir sind zufrieden. Tatsächlich haben wir nur geschlafen und gefrühstückt im Hotel. Pool oder andere Aktivitäten haben im Hotel nicht besucht. Vom frühstück waren wir nicht so sehr begeistert, jeden Tag wurde das selbe angeboten und die Auswahl war jetzt auch nicht so groß. Wir hatten noch ein kleines Problem mit der Klima und das wurde innerhalb vom 30 min gelöst. Alle waren super freundlichen hilfreich.

The Melia Medeira was a beautiful hotel! The pool was lovely and clean, they had nice entertainment in the evening and the front desk staff were very attentive and a great source of information as needed. The bar tenders were also super!! The room itself was very clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. If I had to say anything as a form of help, my suggestion would be to update the washrooms. The entire hotel was so nice, but the washrooms felt dated and the shower was not great. Otherwise, we had a great stay at the Melia.

This hotel was lovely! We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options, including healthy options as well. The room was spacious and the view over the ocean and pool was a wonderful sight every morning. I would ask for the ocean view if I were you. Overall, an excellent stay.

Fantastic Location and Service

Sauberes sehr großes Zimmer mit sehr hilfsbereitem und freundlichem Personal. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Das Zimmer mit seitlichem Meerblick war grandios. Die Lage ist in der ersten Reihe am Atlantik und zentral für Ausflüge nach Funchal oder Umgebung.

A good place to stay in Funchal away from the centre. The pool is very nice & the buffet breakfast has a lot of options. The beds are hard but this seems typical of Madeira. Our room was a bit untidy but again we had experienced this elsewhere too. The staff don’t really share a lot of information for example you can’t open your balcony door as it shuts off the air-conditioning or you need your key to actually exit the garage on checkout or you’re trapped in the garage. Some of these things would’ve been great to know beforehand. But overall it was an ok hotel.

Our stay was amazing. Only issue was the pillows could have been softer. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

Property was quite nice, couldn't ask for a nicer looking hotel. But I am exhausted.... Personally my bed at home is a bit hard, so when I go on vacation I look forward to a soft bed, this was not that, in fact, the worst ever. I've only ever had it where a bed was as hard as this one and it was in Cuba. I debated on going to sleep on the couches in the pool room, they were softer then the bed. I didn't think a hard bed would have impacted my vacation this much, but when you can't get one good night of sleep because of how hard the bed is that you are waking up with your hip or back numb (kind of like when you sit on the hard ground too long), that really impacts your vacation. So, super nice looking hotel, but super rough sleeps.

Our stay at melia mare was faultless.. we had access to all that we needed.. great advise from head waiter re savings on meal options. Location superb. We would definitely stay again

Fantastic Location, with so many choices for meals nearby, the Lido walkway, and short bus ride to Funchal. Breakfast was amazing! Diogo at the front desk was incredibly helpful on arrival, departure and with suggestions throughout our stay. And such a lovely room was spacious balcony! Loved it

Great property and location, Clean hotel and rooms. Friendly staff and lots of great restaurants close by.
