ウエスト駅から徒歩で行ける(10分くらい)。朝飯はボリューム有り◎

以前、子供が利用して「良かった」ということなので、今回は家族旅行でファミリールームを予約しました。清潔でどこに行くにも便利でした。特に、浴室が新しくきれいで湯量もまったく問題なし。エレベーターがないのでスーツケースを運ぶのだけが大変でしたが、想定内。

部屋が若干狭かったが、他は大満足。

三階のファミリールームでしたが、とても感じが良く、屋根裏部屋の雰囲気がよかった。少し屋根が低くて頭を低くする必要がありましたが、天窓から見る星空はきれいでした。 朝食も何種類か選べてとてもおいしかったです。 三階でエレベーターがないのには、重いスーツケースで困りましたが、１往復ぐらいが我慢できます。

Nice old-style hotel in Canterbury.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location, which is in the centre of town. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking the street. The carpets were badly stained as was the rooms upholstered chair. The floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked and the shower water temperature was constantly changing between very hot or very cold. Due to the very hot weather we expected at least a fan for the room as the windows only partially opened. On speaking to the reception they informed me that they were currently in the process of buying some more fans. The continental breakfast was a joke so we went to another establishment for breakfast. The staff appeared to be constantly trying to sort the many issues that customers were having and did there best with the resources they were provided. Overall this hotel is a very tired and worn establishment which is definitely in need of renovation. Would I stay here again, definitely not!

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The place was cute and well located, the staff was friendly and helpful, and they had good breakfast options.

Its an old building, so expect quirky characteristics that add to the charm. Enjoy breakfast, all laid out ready and step out into central Canterbury, perfect.

The hotel is in a great location (situated on a main street and in-between both rail stations). The hotel itself has an old charm to it. Note that there are 3 floors including ground floor and no lift which is common for older properties. The carpets, as well as furniture, are very outdated. That said, the overall experience was charming. This was primarily because of the young gentleman who worked the front desk and the morning kitchen was kind, professional, and truly loved his job. He enjoys meeting the guests and conducts himself in welcoming and professional manner. He also carried my luggage up and down the stairs (I am not sure I would have managed it on my own). There are plenty of places to eat nearby and the Marlowe Theatre is directly behind the property. I would definitely stay here again!

.This place was just okay. The room itself was fine, but when we arrived the heating was on full and it was unbearably hot. The window only opens a tiny amount, so there was no way to cool it down properly. We asked for the heating to be turned off, and the staff member did do that, but the radiator still seemed to be on — just slightly less hot. Because of this, we couldn’t sleep. In the morning, there was nothing left for breakfast, so we had to go elsewhere. It also seemed like there was only one member of staff, as we didn’t see anyone else at all — just one poor guy trying to do everything

Staff were kind and helpful, and location is great. Room was perfectly serviceable for a night, although sloping roof meant it was impossible to stand in the bathtub. Stayed in early May and it was very hot and stuffy in the room, with only a tiny fan that didn't work very well - no aircon, but that's just how it goes with historic buildings, so can't really complain! Continental breakfast selection was small - if it was a paid extra it would be quite disappointing, but considering it was included in the price of the room then it was okay.
