クリスマスキャロルやオリバーツイストの著者(ディケンズ)も良く利用した宿で古い歴史を感じさせると同時にモダンに綺麗にせいびされた部屋は快適。

駅から徒歩圏内（約１０分弱）にあるリゾート感溢れるホテルでした。ホテルのフロントの方も非常に親切で、部屋まで案内をして頂きました。ホテルそのものは、年代を感じましたが、その雰囲気が非常にレトロでどこか懐かしい気持ちになりました。ホテルの玄関は、通りに面しておりますが、エントランスからはレストランを通して海を望むことが出来ます。周辺にあるホテルもリゾート感に溢れており、正直仕事で来るところでは無いな～！と思いました。夜、外に出掛けると、何人もの人たちが海辺の散策をしており、夏にはもっと賑わっていたんだろうな？と考えてしまいました。 朝ご飯は、卵料理を注文するスタイルで、非常にボリュームがありました。又、とてもおいしく頂きました。レストランのスタッフも気さくな感じで、明るく話しかけてくれて、とても気持ちが良かったです。非常に行き届いたサービスが出来ていると感じました。 但し、木造で年代が建っているので、歩くたびに床がきしむ音がしますので、気になる方には気持ちよく泊まることは出来ないかも知れません。 夏の暑い日に、浜辺でゆっくり出来る時に、もう一度訪れたいと思いました。

A lovely hotel, beautifully maintained in an amazing location with friendly staff. The only thing that let it down was the quality of the bed and pillow: one hard; the other lumpy. You get a better night's sleep at a Travelodge, to be honest. With a better bed (maybe just a mattress topper?) and a nicer pillow, this would be a five star stay.

Need milk in rooms and not so hard pillows

Lovely hotel and great position, helpful staff and very good breakfast. The “cosy sea-view room” was pretty tiny though - very nicely furnished but tiny - even for one adult and one child. It was quite claustrophobic. For the cost I would not book that room category again but will definitely return to the hotel!

Delightful, historic hotel. Wonderful sea view. The staff are very helpful and we had a great meal on the terrace.

Lovely staff and perfect location in broadstairs. Freshly squeezed juice for breakfast with speciality coffees, extensive breakfast menu. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Great spot, good size room & decent breakfast.

Room was small but cosy, decorated very nicely and I loved the fact that we could sit on terrace outside our room, with sea view. Breakfast, superb choice and very nice, I had eggs Benedict. Guy serving was very helpful and friendly. Only downside here, is there is no parking. It’s a shame the hotel doesn’t hv some kind of arrangement with the local council to offer subsidised parking for guests. Obv local council want people to visit Broadstairs, so why is parking so expensive. Anyway regardless I would def stay again and def recommend this hotel.

The room was small and badly decorated. It was on the third floor with no lift. The breakfast was average at best the staff done their best but it was obvious I had no training. Very expensive for what you get.

Stunning views

Great front desk staff I was on a cycling weekend arrived early they helped me store my knapsack while I did a ride then helped me store my bike when I got back. Great history on the hotel going back 300 years also good breakfast.

We had a great room with balcony overlooking the sea which we took advantage of in the sun! The bathroom was clean and modern. All the staff were friendly and helpful especially the head housekeeper who found us an extra chair for the bedroom! The breakfast was tasty with a good choice. The bar staff were good although could do with some practice with making cocktails! Great central location for walking to shops and restaurants.

This hotel was just as excellent this time around as it was last time we stayed here. It was sold out while we were here as the Charles Dickens festival was going on. One thing to be advised with this hotel is that there are no lifts as it it is an older hotel and is grade II listed so there is no requirement for it to do so. That being said it does have three floors of rooms with about half facing directly to the ocean which means you could have a little or a lot of stairs to contend with. So if you have a disabilty that does not allow for stairs be conscious of that when booking. My partner had a heart condition and it did not occur to me to ask for a room on a lower floor at the time of booking (that was on me) so the first night we ended up on the top floor. A room which I have to say was absolutely lovely if it weren't for all the stairs you had to climb! The view of the town was beautiful from up there though. They were extremely kind and were able to partially accomodate us on the second night and move us to a second floor room which I am grateful for as the climb was not as strenuous. Nice pub and restaruant and sensational outside seating to watch the beach and sea. Breakfast is delicous and piping hot and well presented with a nice continental for those not wanting a hot breakfast. And being centrally located in Broadstairs it made it really easy to visit the town. About a 20mins walk downhill from the station or you can take a bus called the 'Loop' part way down

Both my wife and I found the hotel faultless, we only wish we’d booked a few more days to enjoy being in the hotel. It has to be taken on board that the hotel is about 200 years old, so consequently the structure of the building doesn’t support having a lift. Charles Dickens stayed there, his house is next door Dickens‘s house, but with nine children a wife and a maid in such a small house he found it better sometimes staying in the Royal Albion. You go to sleep listening to the waves breaking on the beach, you wake up to a stunning Seaview, strongly recommend.
