It was

the old lift is beautiful. the room on the first floor was quite, no traffic noise. the staff were lovely. The room did have a little to much old dust that was also damp in areas that were not vacuumed. Edges of the carpet, the bed and cupboards that played up with my sinus. It may not effect a lot of people like it did for me.

Great location, good restaurant food staff very helpful

We stayed here for the Australian Jazz Convention, it was close to the venues. The hotel itself was old and tired, the rooms needed updating, particularly the bathroom. There is an excellent bar and restaurant attached, but not part of the hotel.

Great location and clean however pricey for what it is.

Bit dated. Needs a good paint & spring clean in the rooms. Few little maintenance issues in the rooms, overall, good, central place to stay.

Hotel was very dated. Hotel reception were lovely but very disappointed with the overall hotel for the money. I would have thought a Mecure hotel would have been a lot more current

Dated and tired hotel. Old but nice lift.

Extremely tired, needs a complete refurbishment. More an Ibis Budget 1 star than 4 stars. Having used this hotel lots of times over many years, I certainly won’t be back until it’s refreshed. Breakfast, don’t bother. The full English wasn’t! The bedroom room ceiling was disgusting, brown stains from I guess old water leaks. Room windows were small and started 2m above floor level, more a prison cell look than something inviting. Staff very average. Management needs to take a good look at itself for letting this gem go.

Very run down, morning staff on checkout pretty rude

The accommodation was good very clean and the reception people were extremely helpful. The two bedrooms were upstairs, which can be difficult for older people.

Ok value for money but in need of a deep clean and upgrade.

Our room was very spacious but in need of a face lift.
