We love everything about this place .The best

The parador is unique, being a restored former monastery. There are two distinct parts to the hotel, one modern building attached to the older monastery. When we stayed there were very few people and it was like being in a ‘stately’ home all by ourselves. There were antiques in the halls and a long library to sit in and contemplate. There are archaeological excavations still happening and you feel part of history in the making. The geographical situation of the parador is excellent being just outside cangas de onis and in the foothills of the picos.

It's a Paradore, say no more. Wonderful area. Lived up to expectations.

This parador is truly a gem. It has been fully restored while preserving its charming, historic ambiance. The rooms are comfortable, and ours even featured a small balcony where we enjoyed the sunset alongside a glass of local red wine. The location is ideal—just 2.5 km from the town of Cangas de Onís and nestled at the base of the Picos de Europa National Park. Both are must-visit destinations. Cangas de Onís is a delightful town filled with boutique shops, cozy cafes, and excellent restaurants, as well as numerous cultural landmarks. Meanwhile, the Picos de Europa National Park offers breathtaking natural beauty that is nothing short of spectacular.

This parador was pure magic! It was like staying in a museum plus all the perks of an outstanding hotel. Breakfast was delicious and with everything you want to eat and more. Very close to Cangas de Onis downtown and the majestic famous roman bridge. Our only regret was not staying one more night.

Amazing

Great place to stay. Good access to major scenic towns and hiking in the Picos de Europas. Was little disappointed they didn't have air conditioning running in November so we could keep room really cold for my wife, however they brought us a fan and that worked well. Great food and service. Breakfast was delicious and the lasagna dinner was memorable. Beds could use some upgrading as they were a bit stiff. Again service is top notch and everyone is so helpful. Would recommend staying here and enjoying the history of the property and the nearby town of Cangas de Onis as well.

AC is a real pain. Does not work properly. We had to open the window but it became worst because a lot of flies and bugs comes to visit you

Nice hotel. Our room was too close to a main road. The food options are not great. The restaurant specialises in over-complicated fine dining, but it is not actually very good. And there were no healthy options. At the bar we had a pizza, which was undercooked and had a massive slab of Cabrales cheese. Nice cheese, but it really doesn't work on pizza, especially as a luke-warm massive non-melted chunk. Breakfast was just strange. Unfriendly. The walk into town along the river is great.

Nice hotel set in an ex monastery. Some interesting remains still visible. Good service with pleasant staff. Beds very comfortable and aircon was welcome in unusual heat
