スタッフは明るくフレンドリーでとても気持ちよく接客してくださいました。 掲載されている部屋の写真は広角で撮影されているようで、写真程は広くありませんでした。ただ素敵なインテリアでした。セントラルヒーティングを入れても暖かくならず、部屋が寒かったことと、駐車場の件で、星４つとさせてもらいます。 ホテルの詳細には「敷地内駐車場あり」とありましたが、向かい側の道路に短時間だけ駐車できます。地域の無料駐車場は歩いて10分ほどかかります。説明とは異なりました。

This was our first stay at The Ormond but we plan to come back again. While a little bit worn around the edges this is more than made up for by the wonderfully warm welcome from staff and the super comfy bed. So convenient for everything in the town too.

location and staff excellent

The staff were amazing and although it didn’t have Aircon, it was an excellent experience. Acceptable for the price.

This was a nice stay during a heatwave. So was warm in the room but that was expected. Room was spacious and well furnished. En-suite was large as well. Very well situated for exploring the town. We used the free long-term car park which also has some picnic tables and is right beside the old rail shed which is a tourist attraction in itself. The hotel bar was nice as well!!

We loved the Ormand and hope to return. Staff really went out of their way to look after us.

What a nice hotel- especially the new units out the back! With the heat wave, air conditioning was greatly appreciated. Just wish there was parking :(.

The hotel is nice and comfortable, I think what lets it down are the staff. I was totally ignored in the bar/restaurant area. I ended up eating at another hotel around the corner. No staff or coffee at breakfast, I ended up speaking to one of the cleaners to get coffee made. New house manager needed I think!

I stayed three night (room only). Very friendly staff. Very nice room. Some areas of the hotel could do with new paint and a bit of maintenance but I suppose that's just normal 'wear and tear". Had one evening meal along with a pint of Guinness. I thought it was quite expensive ("London prices"). I would stay in the hotel again

Noisy room, loose taps, bathroom needed tidying up, breakfast was overpriced

The room was very well decorated and the bed linen was excellent. Plenty of pillows, warm duvet etc. In winter an extra heater and, as recently in a heatwave, an efficient tower fan. Very friendly and efficient staff. Good food at dinner.

We had a lovely stay for one night. Room was pretty, clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely dinner in the bar downstairs and a good breakfast although , i would say it finished quite early for a weekend. But all in all it was lovely.

Fabulous new modern room with a double shower en-suite and air conditioning. Just needs a mirror in the bedroom!! Lovely courtyard area outside the room with a small table and chairs. When we arrived a couple were sat at the table right outside our window having a meal which we thought was a bit weird. We had to shut the curtains so they couldn’t see inside. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. It was really warm when we stayed so we used the outside area for a coffee in the mornings. The doors to the kitchen were open, staff just need to remember that the guests can hear everything they say and hear their choice of music!! Metallica isn’t our first choice of band to listen to first thing in the morning when trying to have a quiet cuppa!! Overall though, a really enjoyable stay and would happily stay again.

No water for a shower or wash we were told tank was empty

There were strong dog smells in the reception area, and the rooms often picked up cooking smells from the kitchen. The mattresses in the bedrooms were also too soft and should be replaced with firmer, more comfortable ones. Overall, the stay was fine for the price point, but anything over £70 per night would not represent good value for money.

Room was up several flights of stairs. Really friendly young man carried my heavy suitcase, couldn't have been more helpful. Room and ensuite had skylights, views over rooftops. Very comfortable bed, pretty room, bit of noise from coutyard below but just in the afternoon. Didn't book breakfast, expensive at £22. Problem was the bath/shower. Trickle of water from the bath taps, gave up trying to run a bath. Shower was equally useless, stopped part way through then restarted after a minute or so. I know its an old building and that must make maintenance difficult but reliable working plumbing is a requirement.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Julia and Stuart. The room was lovely, light and comfortable.

What a lovely hotel! The staff couldn’t do enough for us, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was delicious, the room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The photos of the hotel really need updating because they do not do it justice at all — it’s far lovelier in person. I’m super picky when it comes to hotels, but I would definitely recommend staying here. When I received my booking confirmation, the photo of the standard room made me question my choice, but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel exceeded all expectations.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. Room was ok, would go for a larger room, if we stay again. Staff in the bar & resteraunt were excellent, nothing was too much trouble & the food excellent at both breakfast & dinner.

Friendly staff, helpful and polite. ?room was clean and well presented.
