ギルフォードのハイストリートにある風格漂うプチホテル。 駅からも徒歩10分以内。スーツケースを引きずっても苦にならない距離でした。 お城、サリー大学、美味しい飲食店、お洒落なショップ、スーパーも徒歩圏内でギルフォードの全てを踏破できました。 ホテル内は貴族の館のような雰囲気です。 重厚な家具に、お花がいたるところに飾られていて、大変きれいに保たれていました。 お部屋も大変広く驚きました。 裏部屋でしたが、窓も大きく、明り取りも十分です。 お紅茶なども色々おいていただき、とても楽しめました。 お湯が出ないコメントが散見されましたので恐れていましたが、私の滞在中は、火傷しそうなくらい熱いお湯が十分に出ました。 おぞらく、ロンドンですと、3倍近い宿泊料金なるかと思います。 スタッフの方もどの方も大変親切で、気持ちよい滞在となりました。 ギルフォードへ行かれる方には、ぜひお勧めしたいです。

Centre of Guildford. Beautiful quirky old coaching inn. Good size rooms. Steep stairs up to the rooms so may be a a challenge for some people.

Lovely hotel in a charming old building. The restaurant is let to Bills so there is no breakfast option in house. As there is no fridge in the room we had to wait for tea and coffee. There is a Cabaret bar on the first floor which didn’t impact us too much but some rooms were next to the club entrance, we only heard noise when people left and were noises in the street. As there is no aircon we had to have the windows open and the noise from the street is ridiculous. Dragging metal furniture about at 1am, empty glass recycling at 5am and then a market being erected outside our window at 6! Add that to the constant flow of loud revellers walking up the road until the early hours we had very little sleep. Most of this is not really the hotels fault and the room was lovely just very hot and lacking in water pressure for the shower.

Check in was very good, and room clean. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment.

Great

The Angel Posting House is a quirky Tudor-era property, with long and interesting history and many historically-famous guests. Thus the property has a many different levels and steps up to the rooms; each with a wonky charm; typical of this era dwellings. On top of the olde world charm, it still has a modern fit-out and was a very comfortable stay. The beds a re great, the staff were most courteous, and while no on-side breakfasts, there was a deal with a neighboring establishment which provided good value.

Veldig sentralt og hyggelig service

The Hotel and room were lovely. There was no one on Reception when we arrived and we had to phone a number and wait. The room itself was lovely. We then had a concern that the shower was not hot enough, and were told it would be looked into. The problem was not corrected.

Location was great for what I needed

The Angel was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Guildford. Close to everything, a short walk to anywhere we wanted to go. The hotel itself is absolutely charming. Our room was very nicely appointed with a comfortable bed and separate sitting area, and unlimited restocking of coffee, tea and waters. The staff was a pleasure to deal with, always eager to assist. We would definitely stay again and we strongly recommend it to all!
