ホテルというよりも保養所のような感じでした。エレベーターはあるが、自分達の部屋に行くには階段も使わなければならなかったので、トランクの上げ下げが大変でした。トランクを持ち上げれない人は、スタッフの助けが必要になると思います。

The front desk staff were friendly. However, there is no staff in the evening and we were told to call a number if there were any problems. The rooms were nice enough considering they are dorm rooms for high school students during the academic year. We were told about the breakfast buffet by the staff and did not eat the breakfast because it seemed a little expensive for what you get. There is plenty of parking. Everything in Iceland is expensive so do not expect a lot for what you are getting.

It was a clean, basic room to stay for the night. Close to restaurants and path ways.

Parking gratuit, personnel accueillant, petit dejeuner excellent, chambre propre, mais il n'y a pas trop de place dans la salle de bain.

Man får ju lite vad man betalar för. Relativt ok pris men är ju en gymnasieskola med inkvarteringsdel som under sommaren, då eleverna är hemma, används som hotell. Slutet rum med slitet badrum. Frukost ok men inte mer.

Good location, friendly staff. Looks like a hostel turned into hotel. Good option if you are looking for budget friendly accommodation

We stayed at Edda one night in July. Parking is free, rooms are basic dormitory style: clean, comfortable beds, white/clean linen, desk and private bathroom. No black out shades or curtains so, if visiting in summer, bring eye mask. Staff was very polite and friendly. Breakfast available for a fee which we did not partake but, the dining area was clean as well. The accommodations at the Edda are basic but the price is proportional to the amenities. We would stay again.

Excellent location. Big room. Spectacular view from my room to the mountains and a lake. I loved this property very much. I only wished I could stay their longer....

After I read some of reviews, I expected that hotel would be not very nice. It actually suprized me and my 19/21 kids. They enjoy two story room with their beds in the loft and spiral staircase that brought them upstairs. It is also interesting to be inside school like building. Parking is free and plenty. Property well maintained and there are working elevators. We had to pay additional fee for city tax in addition to what Expedia charged us.

Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Probably should advertise that it is a dormitory type lodging so guests aren’t too surprised when they get there. Unless I missed that in the description. Even so, a great place to stay the night.

Decent hotel given how remote the location was

I was totally disappointed with fact of not being informed by Expedia that it was a hotel chain renting a boarding school building as a hotel for the summer. The building & the room was very basic...dorm like. Bed & table with 2 chairs. Nothing on the walls. miniature bathroom and shower, for $300 a night. Parking and access to the room was not easy or practical. I do not recommend to anyone

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and professional. Property is older and has a bit of an institutional aesthetic but it is very well maintained. Amenities (restaurants, groceries, gas etc.) aren’t super close so having a car is helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Fit our needs perfectly.

A student house and transferred to a hotel temporarily during summer break. Clean and nice. But a little bit aged. The room is big but washroom is small.
