good location to the beach !

Very comfortable room and really kind staffs.

The gentleman on reception was very friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately he was very let down by the team at breakfast. Not only did we have to lay our own table as none were clean, but we had to request more stuff on the breakfast buffet as nothing was being restocked. As a meal which you have before you leave the hotel, this was a very poor experience

Full marks to all the staff from moment we arrived until moment we left. Maybe when finance allows they will instal air con in bedrooms. Disappointed we couldn’t have any meals in restaurant as we noticed the AA rosettes in the dining room. Speaking to a member of staff they suggested a European theme restaurant may be opening. Very quiet lounge at night time and we had the place to ourselves despite the hotel being full, maybe some form of entertainment could be tried. Great location for promenade and bus service.

No food available after a long trip and the sea view room on the first floor is a bit of a stretch from a standing position only. I did manage to catch a glimpse between the rooftops.

Nice restaurant but rooms are tired and the whole place is like stepping back in time.

Room very basic. Everything looks old and worn. Old furniture and old fans. Reception friendly but other staff fulfilled basic rules of engagement. Breakfast continental again basic. One of the options was plain yoghurt, which was in a plain bowl with a spoon in it, no covering ( even though lots of flies around, and temperature very hot). No option if mixed berries or fruit with the yoghurt. Nothing looked appealing at all. My friend who ordered the full English warned me not to have certain items of food. On the Hotels.com web site this hotel is graded "excellent". The only good thing about it was the proximity to the beach. the car park attached to the hotel allows for approx 5 vehicles. It was full and it was suggested to park next door in a car park that compromised of rubble, uneven surfaces and difficult manoeuvrability. Which we had to pay for. The hotel is closed to a noisy pub.i

Helt greit, eldre hotell. Flott lokasjon ved strandpromenaden. Noe slitt. Svært varmt, det det ikke var noen air-condition, og det gikk ikke an å åpne vinduet mer enn på gløtt.

The hotel room was clean, as were the linen and towels. It’s just a very tired hotel in need of some tlc.

A perfectly situated hotel for the pier and the beach and conference centre. Staff were lovely efficient and friendly. No air conditioning

Stayed here 2 years ago very good but this time round very poor, Hotel has changed management and it is completely different. There was a restaurant with good service and food, but now they only serve breakfast. On the second day waited for 35 to be served and left in the end with no breakfast. Would not go back again.

Bedroom is too hot too Not enough air room and all AC is very low small and shower is too to smallness the door with the water, shower head is taller and need medium to the shower

The breakfast was very nice, the croissants were delicious. My bathtub wouldn't convert to a shower, the mechanism had seized up, and the deep tub was difficult to climb out of, partly due to my having one injured arm, and also due to there being no rubber tub mat and the tub floor being very slippery. I told reception about both issues at checkout. The view of the sea from my daughter's room was spectacular and my room, on the ground floor, had no view but was nice and quiet. Luckily we stayed before the area was engulfed in a heat wave so the rooms weren't overly hot, the breeze was able to keep them cool enough for sleeping. We loved being so close to the beach, pier and restaurants, an easy walk to all, and the long gardens walk up from the pier was lovely.

Our recent stay at the hotel was very enjoyable. Proximity to Beach and gardens could not have been better. My husband is a wheelchair user and the hotel proved very accessible. The parking space provided (for blue badge holders) next to the hotel was such a bonus. Our lovely cooked breakfast was provided as part of the booking. Staff were polite, caring and willing to help in any way they could. We will definitely book this hotel again when we return to Bournemouth!

Lovely Room with a view. We stayed at this hotel last weekend in one of their large executive rooms which had a long window and lovely views of the sea. The room was clean with tea and coffee facilities. The room had two upright fans which were very effective. The location is excellent, only 2 minutes to the beach. The breakfast was good but no fruit which we usually like to have as our first course. The staff were very polite and helpful.

Room was very clean, bottled water along with tea and coffee provided. Bathroom was spotless. Check in was quick and easy and staff very friendly. Breakfast was quick and tasty and staff were friendly and attentive. No air con but was provided with a fan. The hotel is a little dated in places. Location for the beach is a 2 minute walk.

When you walk in to the reception it doesn’t look like a particularly nice hotel. It looks a bit old & dated But when we got into our room we were really pleased. We had a room with a sofa & four poster bed overlooking the sea Bonuses were 1. A fridge with a freezer section with ice cubes in 2. 2 tvs. One very large one in the bedroom area & a smaller one in front of the sofa 3. Biscuits - which you very rarely get now The room was very nice The things that weren’t quite so good It had a coffee machine that you put pods in. I kept pressing the buttons but very little coffee came out so I gave up trying to fill the cup. There weren’t any instructions with it The full English breakfast was good & they had warm croissants which I don’t think I’ve had in a hotel before. There was also cereal & yogurt. But there wasn’t any cheese, ham or fruit (which was fine by me but my wife would have liked) The hotel is right opposite the BIC & only a couple of minutes walk to the seafront & pier. Very good location Staff were all very friendly They have a small car park but you can only park there if you have a disabled badge. You can park in the very run down car park right next door for £7 per day which is very cheap but you might wonder if your car is going to be safe there. Ours was fine One major concern is that the fire exit in the downstairs restaurant had a big box & a high chair in front of it so if there was a fire that would make it difficult to get out.
