外はとても寒いのですが、室内はとて心地よく暖めてあり、長袖Tシャツで過ごせるくらいでした。 室内もきれいにととのえてあります。今回２回目の滞在でした。前年はお湯だけしか使えなかったので、現地の温かい食べ物を食べることができなかったため、今回はミニキッチンのついた部屋を借りました。 現地のマーケットで、魚や肉を買ってきて焼いて食べました。 サーモンも美味しかったです。 とてもゆったりしていて、簡易ベッドを使うと4名までokな広さです。 バスタブ付きでしたから、オーロラツアーから心底冷えて帰ってきたあとには、本当に熱いお風呂が助かります。 BSiバスターミナルも歩いて10分もかかりません。ツアーのピックアップも楽かと思います。日本から行かれる方は、ティッシュを一箱持っていかれたほうが便利かも。 雪のある時期に行く方は、新聞を１部持っていくと、部屋の中がベチャベチャに濡れないと思います。 コーヒーや紅茶等も準備してあります。 ゲストハウスですから、自分たちである程度準備して行くことをお勧めします。 とても、居心地の良いゲストハウスです。

ダウンタウンに近く便利だった。

バスターミナルやレストランの多い地区にも近く便利でした。部屋も毎日ベッドメイクが入り、タオルも毎日交換してくれました。キッチンも使い勝手がよく、ラーメンを食べるのにぴったりなお碗などもあったので、食費節約のために持っていった即席めんが食べやすかったです。

このゲストハウスにアイスランドに着いた日と出る日と2泊しました、最初は離れみたいな所でトイレ、バスタブ同じ場所に付いていて良いね〜と思いましたが、後でもう一泊した時は、母家の二階でしかも物凄い狭い螺旋階段で上がっていく部屋で、トイレ、バスも常にその狭い螺旋階段で上がり降りをしなくていけなくて、結構煩雑に感じましたね。部屋自体は悪く無いのですが、あの部屋にはもう泊まりたく無いです。そんな感じでしたので、感想が遅くなりスミマセン´д` ;

It’s a beautiful place and offered us what we expected.

Excellent choice for a few nights in Reykjavik. Nicely renovated small suites in a converted large home. Its an easy walk from the main bus station for airport (and other) buses, and close enough to walk into central Reykjavik. Would certainly stay here again if we return to Iceland.

The host was great. Very communicative and arranged for us to self check in late and as an extra bonus we were able to leave our bags after checkout for a couple of hours which was very convenient. The room was clean and fine for our one night stay. However, there was a strange smell from the water in the pipes which made the entire room smell a little unpleasant and there was a lot of noise throughout the night from the walkway right outside as guests checked in and out so be mindful of that if you are a light sleeper. Overall it is in a good walkable location and fine for a short stay.

Wir haben diese Unterkunft wegen der Bilder auf der Homepage gebucht. Dies war und auch den stolzen Preis von über 200€ für eine Nacht wert. Was wir vorfanden hat in keiner Weise unseren Vorstellungen entsprochen. Das Zimmer befand sich in einem Anbau (ausgebaute Garage ?). Das Fenster war lediglich ein Oberlicht, der Raum war höhlenartig dunkel. Der Blick aus dem „Fenster“ fällt direkt auf die gegenüberliegende Wand. Es entstand eine unangenehme „Knastatmosphäre“. Zu den Gastgebern bestand keinerlei Kontakt, da die Namen der Gäste lediglich mit Zetteln an den Zimmern ausgehängt sind. Meines Erachtens ist es eine Unverschämtheit für ein solches Zimmer und einen nicht vorhandenen Service über 200€ zu berechnen. Ich rate von dieser Unterkunft ab!

Check in was simple, it was walking distance to anything down town but tucked away from the busyness. The little kitchen was perfect for making a quick meal, which is nice as dining out is pricey in Reykjavík. Would highly recommend!

Sehr guter Unterkunft für unsere Familie. Genug Platz, bequeme Bette. Es hat alles gepasst!

Near to BAI terminal

The hotel was attractive looking in a nice area of town. The room was modern, clean, and very well kept, but it was definitely small. We had 2 large suitcases and barely had enough room to walk around the bed and open the doors! If you are traveling light or don't mind being cramped, it's a pleasant hotel in a residential area of town with easy access to the main shopping area / church.

Very spacious. Convenient to Rainbow Road and other attractions. Clean, gorgeous. Would definitely recommend.

We checked in late due to our travel there and the owner had everything ready with key and access to the room. We met her on the last day and she was so sweet. Beautiful accommodations like we stepped into another place, not your average hotel. Only small complaint was the sulfur smell when taking a shower and it didn’t vent well, so all steam from the shower settled on everything in the bathroom making everything wet, lol. We managed though.

Excellent emplacement proche des différents sites à visiter et très calme (parking gratuit dans la rue). L'appartement était très agréable, la literie confortable, les couettes douces, capsules de café et thé à disposition. Tout était parfait !

We enjoyed our stay at Galtafell, the owners were very helpful and welcoming. The property is a bit older but still comfortable and easy access. Close to the main part of Reykjavík. Thanks to Thorey and her staff.

Great location with lots of room and comfortable beds. Loved the host dog, too.
