We were delighted to have booked Le Provencal. The setting in Gien is perfect, with both easy access to the village and also front line access to the sea via the well maintained gardens, pool & bathing platforms. The pool area and coastline are magical. The service from all of the Le Provencal team was helpful and friendly, of particular note was the 'pool manager'. It was great to have access to three restaurants, the food was good quality and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner 'village side' in The Brasserie. Recommend to book a sea view room as the views are incredible. Highly recommended.

Hôtel très mignon et avec un charme provençal à l’ancienne. Restaurant avec belle vue et plusieurs espaces charmants pour se reposer et restaurer. Bien situé au centre. Petit bémol pour la partie parking en bas de la colline et l’hôtel en haut ainsi que les travaux pendant notre séjour

Gorgeous reimagined property that feels distinctive and quite special, invoking the best of mid century vibes with a contemporary take. Food was lovely, and the location is superb. Our room’s view was one of the best I’ve ever seen! My only critique is the service, while warm, was a little casual for the price of the hotel. For example, they seemed mildly indifferent when I mentioned the lack of hot water in our room’s shower. Perhaps it was just some of that laid back c’est la vie energy that otherwise makes the region so special! And they’re newly opened so I imagine they’ll only improve in the coming months. And I wouldn’t let that prevent me from visiting this lovely corner of the universe!
