Breakfast付きとなっていたけど、冷蔵庫の食パンとジャム牛乳とインスタントコーヒー紅茶を自分で調理するもので、Continental breakfast以下。パンが切れても、こちらから言わなければ追加なし。 暖房用空調機をつけていたが、夜中ON・OFFの音がうるさかった。 道路の間際の部屋で自動車の音がうるさく、寝苦しい。 目覚まし時計が壊れていて機能しない。 管理人の奥さんは親切だったが、いずれにしても料金の割にはサービスは悪い。

Great place to stay. Warm friendly service from the old gentleman. A bit cold during the winter but manageable. Lovely place.

Der Aufenthalt im Merivale Manor war perfekt, um nach einem langen Flug in Christchurch anzukommen. Wir konnten sogar etwas früher einchecken. Maree und Grant sind herzliche Gastgeber, die uns mit allerhand Tipps für unsere Neuseeland-Reise versorgt haben. Vielen Dank für eure Gastfreundlichkeit!

We felt really comfortable here because the owner/managers were helpful, welcoming, lovely people. The hotel looks old and stylish and it is refurbished to a high standard. We chose a room with a jacuzzi bath which was great. It’s situated near the main road but we didn’t find it loud inside our room. Facilities for food prep were useful and we made our own breakfast and light lunch. There are great cafes and restaurants very nearby too, great quality and budget prices. There is a good shopping mall less than five minutes walk away too. It’s in a great location for the city centre too - a 20 minute walk there and a cheap eleven dollar Uber back again will make you feel good. There’s loads to see and enjoy in the centre. Christchurch was are favourite city of all NZ cities.

Great find, the owners were really friendly and extremely helpful. Room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Stayed two nights and the towels were changed and toiletries replenished. Walking distance to bars, restaurants and shops. Approx 30 min walk into Christchurch town centre.

Uns hat die Unterkunft sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war geschmackvoll eingerichtet und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir hatten leider das Zimmer direkt an der Straße und deshalb war es sehr laut.

The room was very comfortable and i was able to wash my clothes. The building is over 140 years old and was recently remodeled.

Lovely welcome every time I stay here. Great standard and very comfortable. Even though it's close to the road it's quite peaceful.

Helpful and friendly staff on check in. Convenient to walk or use the bus to Christchurch with a bus stop outside. Very nice room though a little small for a double but ok for one night.
