The staff are very friendly. Check in/out process was super easy! My only complaint is that there was mold on the ceiling in the living area and in the bathroom above the shower. Room just seems to need a deep clean and a little maintenance.

Stayed in room 47, had to wait a good few minutes to check in. Humming noise all night coming from somewhere. Checked out and no mention if room was ok, just you owe £94, which everything was paid for and didnt owe anything. Henwas quite abrupt.

WIFI unrerliable

We were so pleasantly surprised by our stay. We expected a simple hotel that would be all we needed for a location near an event we were attending, but we totally underestimated things. The building is beautiful, our room was clean, well decorated and comfortable, all staff we spoke to were lovely, and both our dinner in the cocktail bar and breakfast in the dining room were good quality.

Room was very clean and fresh, downside a double bed, adults really need a king size regardless of what you’re paying, parking is mostly on street and easy, overall the hotel is well kept and modern.

All staff were super friendly, and welcoming. They were keen to help us settle in, and then to offer suggestions on places to visit and how to get there. Our room was bright and had a beautiful view over the bowling greens. It was the perfect way to begin our UK holiday ... relaxing and low-key. Thank you all.

What a pleasant surprise to walk into our room, the room was lovely decorated and felt welcoming. The cleanliness of the both the bathroom and bedroom was of a high standard, lovely clean carpets and furniture. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The atmosphere in the bar was really nice and the bar staff attentive and friendly. Also it was great to be able to park my car right outside the hotel, very convenient. The hotel was quiet throughout the night which added to a peaceful night. Over all a very pleasant stay and I would have no doubts about staying at the Tontine hotel again.

All the staff without question, were polite and so professional.

Very clean room well serviced. Extremely comfortable bed and well heated rooms in December. We had a suite which was ideal for our short stay.. We were less happy with the many stairs, to get there although to be fair it was mentioned clearly in guest information. The old building is a real Greenock icon, but suffered from a leaking roof resulting in drips albeit during a storm with torrential rain. Had a nice meal in the restaurant on the first evening. Very happy to returnnnext year though.
