2015年4月に夫婦で一泊しました。レイコックは宿泊施設がほとんど無く、最初は別の所に泊まろうかとも思いましたが、スケジュール上泊まることとしました。 一階はいわゆるパブになっており、朝食、昼食、夕食何れも提供しています。まぁ、味はそこそこ、というべきかイギリスの典型というべきか、という感覚でした。 室内はいわゆるＢ＆Ｂのレベルですが、水回りを比較的最近リニューアルした模様であり、その点は評価したいと思います。スタッフもいわゆる「田舎のお兄さん、お姉さん、おじさん、おばさん」という意味でのフレンドリーさが感じられました。裏手に無料の広い公営駐車場があるので、レンタカー利用者も苦労しないかもしれません。

Absolutely lovely stay. The usual quirks staying in a really old building. Staff and food were amazing. We will be back.

The welcome and booking in was good and we were assisted to our room. The room was spacious with sufficient furnishings and nice big windows. The bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom was roomy with a bath - all good in there except the extractor fan wasn't working which is not uncommon. The decor was bit tired, some interior doors difficult to close, big sash windows not easy to operate, but this a Georgian listed building after all. The menu for the evening meal was not to our taste, with one or two choices we might have made being unavailable. The staff seemed indifferent to this and we ate elsewhere. The kitchen was out of action at breakfast time for which apologies were made and we were sent to their sister pub down the road. Most of the breakfast was just ok, but toast was awful. It had not been properly toasted so most of the bread was raw, it been spread with margarine before serving which had melted making the bread soggy, and there were scorch patterns on it and lumps of carbon which must have come off whatever device it had been briefly put in. Overall, i think we would stay again on the strength of the room and bed and location, but expecting to eat dinner elsewhere and hoping the breakfast failings were a one-off.

I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and delivered a very nice evening meal quite quickly. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The room was comfortable and the wifi strong. As the hotel is in the centre of Lacock, its a great location for exploring the village and the abbey. The graveyard is also worth a visit.

When we arrived, the staff wasn't very welcoming and we felt uncomfortable. However, they did take our heavy packs since we were early, so we could explore this quaint village. When we returned to the small pub below our room, they didn't know who we were. There are 5 rooms total! I don't think anyone else was staying there. Our room was decorated well, but the carpet wasn't clean. It is clear that dogs are allowed, and follow-up cleaning after their stay isn't done well. My allergies were killing me. The TV wasn't working and is ancient. The manager fixed the fuse issue. The bathroom was updated and modern. The tiles in the shower need to be deep-cleaned. The mattress wasn't great, so if you have back problems like me, it will be a challenge. The owner convinced us to have dinner in the pub, but when we went down, they asked if we had reservations. We were seated, but the manager came over and said they had a large party coming in, so we would have to wait a while to order. It was frustrating. My son's macaroni and cheese was amazing. My vegan Sunday roast was average with too much gravy, and I had a sick stomach all night. I didn't expect too much from a small country pub and inn, but despite the setbacks, we enjoyed Lacock and the Inn overall. The owner told us how to find the Harry Potter filming sites in the morning, but we had researched them the day before and had already done that. It would have been helpful on check-in. There were many films and TV shows filmed here.

we loved the red lion. The staff was so helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast was much more… The bar was great! Our room was charming… We couldn’t ask for more in a hotel with great access to Avebury and the Cotswald.

A really nice stay.

Such a magical place to stay for the nearby town. All of the Harry Potter filming locations were awesome to see and the town was so chill. There was something very D&D about checking in with the bar keep to get a room at the Inn above the pub. We absolutely loved staying here, and everyone was extremely kind.

Lovely, perfect, comfortable, refreshing, wonderful....except, room 1 is over the kitchen, so you hear and feel the kitchen extractor fan that gets switched off about 23:00 and on again at 07:30. Lovely breakfast too. Excellent fruit platter. Every meal was excellent there.
