Ok stay but the pictures oversold. The room wasn’t clean and we had one desk fan between four of us in the heat. Also the pool area wasn’t very clean, and the food at dinner was over cooked. The staff, however, were super friendly.

Hotel was fine. It wasn’t amazing nor was it poor. It was fine. We had a family room and it was plenty big enough. Rooms could do with air conditioning as they were so warm and also some security on the windows. With two small children and being on the ground floor the windows could be pulled open from outside and climbed through sonw had to keep them closed and roast all night. Pool was nice, breakfast was decent. Parking spaces are tiny so if you have anything bigger than a mini, prepare to have your doors dinged. Also if you are a blue badge holder don’t expect a space. I seen loads of golfers just parking in the disabled bays with no blue badges. And non EVs in the electric bays which stopped any EV from charging. I told one of the members of staff but they said there’s not much they can do. Shame it’s not controlled better.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and understanding with me and I would recommend they are recognised for this!

A great hotel for a break

Very hot weather made it difficult to keep cool in the room, but there was a ceiling fan and a desk fan which helped.

Family rooms were basic and need re vamping. So does the spa, but overall it was good for a one night stay

Our hotel room was very hot, no ac or an additional fan was available. There was mould and rust in the bathroom, the curtains had holes in them, the tv didn’t work, the tap water was cloudy so we had to buy bottled water. The pool wasn’t very nice and with no shallow end it’s not kid friendly. The breakfast was lovely, staff were nice and helpful but for a 4 star hotel it seemed in real need of an update, small changes like additional fans, a fridge in the room, sorting out mould and buying new curtains would have made a huge difference. Plus we saw a guest leave his dog’s mess in the car park, doesn’t give the place a particularly 4 star feel.

Large room, soft mattress, plenty of pillows. Room was very how and no air con but a fan was provided. Breakfast included which was ok but awful coffee. Area was nice looking over the golf course

Lovely quiet clean room with plenty of space, and the land its on is stunning, a beautiful place to stay.

The room was clean and amazing as i stayed at the abbey room which is one of the penthouse which I highly highly recommend to stay at if you want a truly unforgettable experience and it was worth it . The room is spacious , bathroom was lush and the best part was the balcony view which had an amazing view . The only let down was there was only a few limited channels on the tv as it was outdated and couldn't connect my phone to the tv which was the only let down but me and my partner loved the whole stay , the room and there is parking which is great if you want a hotel with parking and it is free lots of spaces to park . Highly recommend to stay if you want to escape to the country side .

Lovely staff very welcoming. Decent size pool. Very dog friendly. Pleasant surroundings.

Room was so dirty, spiderwebs coming from the lights. Carpets were filthy so were the walls. Lamp looked like it was covered in sick, shower had dirt and mould in it. Bathroom mirror was filthy. Hair over back of the toilet and in the bath.

On first viewing looked ok. Room big, looked cleanish. Checked every day of stay coffees and biscuits replenished. Big stain on duvet when stripping bed. Lots of noise from neighbouring rooms late at night. Kids running and messingthrough restaurant on a night, when parents settled at their table. On first breakfast morning, resident and her child turned up in pyjamas. Breakfast was best bit, lots of cereals, fruit, juices, and full English.

Good choices for breakfast, limited choice of lunch and dinner menus, but reasonable prices. Room was clean, and stocked with teas, coffee and water. Lovely, well kept grounds. Spa facilities adequate. Ladies changing room could benifit from more private changing areas.

Lovely breakfast, really good with food allergies. Swimming pool lovely & mainly clean. Would recommend the superior rooms.

Massive family room with everything you'd require. Staff were excellent and so pleasant. Didn't want to leave so stayed another night!

Only stayed one night, standard room not sure what to expect. However, no water bottle given was a shock as that seems to be a basic supply from all hotels. The room shape was awkward, slanted ceiling meant bumping your head over your bed is very possible especially for older people or those who can be clumsy! The heater made some strange noise occasionally and can certainly affect those who are sensitive to noise or light sleeper. Didn’t use any of the facilities so cannot comment. We arrived early but wasn’t allowed to check in until 3pm! Breakfast was ok, had to wait for resupply of food as ran out quickly.. minimum choice options.

Nice venue with comfortable surroundings. Bar and dining areas are nice and welcoming. Bedrooms are good value, a bit dated but again comfortable and would recommend
