Pros and cons
Pros:
- cute cottage style chalet.
-Camp fire pit with outdoor chairs
-Cooking supplies provided
-Stove, fridge and sink all functions
-Tv, wifi, and small living room
-Quiet when we stayed here
- spacious
Cons:
-Chalet smelled like an old house that was smoked in.
-Not very well cleaned. (I had to clean all the pans before using as they all felt greasy). I noticed splashing on the walls of what looked like coffee spills, and under the beds hadn’t been swept or mopped in some time.
- shower drain needs to be fixed. Drains very slow to the point that your feet end up soaking in the water. There’s also no shelves in the shower. I would get a new shower stall.
- fridge was leaking inside. It would leave a big puddle on one of the shelves every other day.
- there’s the top half of a bbq outside our chalet that’s sitting on a picnic table that looks like it’s slowly burning through the picnic table. (It’s also pretty dirty).
- bed is pretty stiff (not my preference)
Overall experience was good. The price was a lot cheaper than anywhere else with probably a lot more space than hotels. It’s a rustic feeling cottage style, or little (hunting) cabin in the woods. Just Don’t expect much more than that. In my opinion, a little extra effort would go a long way to at least have everything cleaned spotless after every visitor leaves. A couple small professional Reno’s to the place would make these cabins so much more appealing. Just my opinion
