Traditional inn with wonderful welcoming owners. Room was spacious, clean and cool. Food was delicious with a great choice at breakfast. Would highly recommend.

This is a really lovely place to stay, the room was clean and characterful and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bar was very welcoming and the food was great too, classic pub food but done really well. I wish we were staying longer than one night to try a few other options. The bar parrot was very entertaining too! We will definitely be staying again if we find ourselves in the area.

Rummet var stort rent och rymligt men hade en unken sommarstugelukt som satte sig i kläderna och som stack i näsan vilket för oss var ganska jobbigt Wifin kunde varit bättre. Frukosten och maten på hotellets pub var utmärkt.

We enjoyed our stay at the New Inn. Mark was welcoming on arrival, our room was an executive triple room, it was equipped with what we needed, the beds were very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great. We sampled the local Sandford Orchards cider which was scrumptious! Breakfast was very tasty too.

The best thing I can say is that it is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Perfect location, great bar and food, friendly locals and great staff. Room had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. Also, very quiet! Highly recommended!

We adore this place and we've stayed so many times now that it feels like a home away from home. The very old thatched inn (dating from 1370) is absolutely beautiful and set in a gorgeous and tiny Devon village. The food is always freshly cooked and excellent, including the breakfasts, and the couple who run it are so welcoming. Of course the main attraction is the 41 year old and very chatty parrot, Captain! What's not to love??

This was our second stay and third visit to the New Inn - and we'll most certainly be back again because we love the place! The hosts are fantastic and make you feel so welcome, their home-cooked food is just amazing (and extremely generous portions!), and the beds are just so comfortable that we get the best night's sleep. The location is perfect as it's so quiet and quaint - although Devon Council should really support their local businesses by mending the excessive potholes in the approach roads!! All in all, this place is to be thoroughly recommended and it's certainly very reasonably priced for the quality of stay.
