とても静かな場所にあり、町までも6，7分で行けるので大変便利です。また、スタッフも全員フレンドリーかつしっかりとした人たちでした。

25年ぶりの湖水地方に両親と訪れました。かつては学生時代、ウィンダミアのB&Bで安いけれどアットホームな宿を体験していましたが、今回は老親が心地よく過ごせるマナーハウスを選びたく、移動も便利でかつ自然が溢れるエリアであるアンブルサイドのロサイマナーハウスを選択。多くの部屋が庭に面しており薔薇を愛でながら、各部屋専用のテラスチェアでお茶も楽しめます。部屋はゆったりとした造りで、落ち着けますし、何よりランチもアフタヌーンティも満員御礼の札が駐車場に出るほどの人気。昼間は観光に出ているので夕食を二度いただきました。何を選んでも洗練された料理でかつ量も上品(日本人にとってちょっと多い、の程度)で価格設定もリーズナブルで満足しました。宿泊客は高齢者も多いので、料理の配膳や説明もゆっくり丁寧にしている印象があり、顧客目線で動ける従業員を育成しているよう感じました。2泊しかしませんでしたが、ぜひもっと長く宿泊して地の利と食事を楽しみたいです、次回は。

Wonderful stay. Hotel is beautiful and the staff are very attentive.

We LOVED our stay here! Our room was the “Grand Room, 1 King Bed, Balcony, Garden View” in the newer building and the attention to detail was exceptional. Loved the large comfy bed, our cozy robes, the deep bathtub and accompanying luxury toiletries and bath soaking salts. The WiFi was fast and the staff members were fantastic. It was a close walk into town and close to everything you could want to explore in the Lakes District. Very cool how the hotel provides wellies (Hunter Boots) for guests to use on muddy walks. The only negative thing I could say is that there were these weird green lights on the roof that stayed on all night. I think they were safety lights maybe and it was too bright for me when sleeping (I am sensitive to that kind of thing). Other than that our stay was perfect and we would absolutely stay here again.

All the staff were very knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for you. All the food was excellent quality and would highly recommend going to the restaurant for dinner - the drinks were expertly served, and the food was some of the best meals we’ve ever had! Perfect setting for a relaxing and reset away.

Nice place to stay

I’m in love with this property and the staff. My husband and I both said it’s the loveliest Hotel we’ve ever been to. Every inch of the property is stunning. The owners thought of every detail, and then some. The staff were unbelievably amazing. Saying goodbye to them was hard to do. We had the most amazing meals on site by a tremendously talented chef. Look no further you want to stay at this amazing place.

A few minor issues with the rooms at Rothay Manor. I would avoid this hotel if you have allergies as nearly every room and communal area is catered to dogs. Our first room had dog fur all over the bed and cushions. The daily cleanliness could be improved in the rooms and the communal areas. Unless you stay in the new Pavilion building, some of the other rooms are tired and dated. Staff are however very friendly and accommodating and the food is very good, but I would not class this hotel as a boutique hotel quite yet. Convenient location into town.
