Really nice overnight stay. All staff really friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast both excellent. Will definitely return. Such a peaceful setting.

Stopped for one night on the way home from London and boy was it worth it beautiful location and building staff were so friendly and attentive we had evening meal in the seasons restaurant which we both thoroughly enjoyed and very reasonably priced our room was a superior double with a sitting area and large tv on wall very comfortable super king bed and to top all this off fantastic breakfast in the morning with lots to choose from the buffet style cooked and continental breakfast will definitely be back and highly recommend

All staff were amenable, knowledgeable and courteous. Public rooms and outdoor spaces were maintained to a high degree, furnishings and fittings,etc. were excellent. The accomodation was spacious, well appointed and comfortable, The bed was enormous, comfortable and had appropriate bedding, there was also a spare pillow in the wardrobe alongwith an iron, ironing board, an electric fan and an umbrella. There was a more than adequate hospitality tray and the best television, my wife and I have seen in an hotel room. Rooms were not made up on a daily basis unless requested. The bar was welcoming and well stocked with a variety of non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages; there were also non alcoholic wines available on the extensive wine list. No-one and I mean no-one could be disappointed with the breakfast fare both hot and cold (and the service) in Seasons' Dining Room, there was also something for everyone on the Dinner Menu, my wife and I weren't present during daytime hours and therefore never sampled the daytime menus, Based on our experience, we would have no hesitation in recommending this venue, whatever the reason foryour visit to the area. We stayed in a "Lodge Room".

A beautiful period hotel in a lovely setting. Food in the restaurant is excellent and not pricey, which often happens with hotels as they have a captive audience. Staff were helpful and courteous. My only niggle and it's a personal thing. It's a beautiful place but they appear to have bought a job lot of plastic trees covered in blossoms. It's such a beautiful place, do it a favour and lose the tacky plastic trees. Then people will be able to fully appreciate the beautiful period features, especially in the dinning room where there are 3 of the horrible things.

We were so impressed with everything in this hotel! The room was spacious & immaculately clean, the check in staff & breakfast room staff were helpful friendly & knowledgeable & the breakfast was beautiful! The fruit selection was so fresh & I love how they melon balled the melon!

Service was poor for dinner. Weren’t booked in Forgot our wine forgot our dessert.

Solo female traveller staying one night in June. Couldn’t have been more perfect. Staff attentive, food exceptional and location setting and amenities very special. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel, second time staying for one night, breakfast included, evening meal have to book separately which was easy to do. Everything about this hotel, location, availability of rooms, staff and food was truly amazing. We will be booking again, probably near Christmas time.

Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back

Beautiful hotel full of character, warm and welcoming with exceptional staff who go the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. Food was very good & the wedding we attended there was perfect. My only comment worth making is ensure you book the room you require as the standard double is very bland compared to the other rooms which are luxurious…. Giving them a call to book directly is a must as they may have special deals which are very generous. I would definitely recommend staying here & would love to return one day.
