Excellent stay, Lisa made me feel very welcome, great food and atmosphere, got to watch a few high adrenaline games of Jenga! Big thanks from me! 10/10 recommendation!

We really enjoyed two nights here in a beautiful old village inn! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food delicious and carefully made to order, and the location peaceful and bucolic - highly recommended to anyone looking for time away from the city!

From when I arrived amd during my five nights stay, Mark and all his staff treated me with the utmost resepect. All were courteous and professional in all that did. As I had to leave each day before breakfast, Mark made me a packed lunch to take with me. This was in keeping with tje food the restaurant served each night. The menu has a wide range of choices and the portions are quite substantial. They are reasonably priced for the size of each dish. The room was clean, quite large and very fresh and airy. I will definitely be staying again when I am in the area. 5 star treatment from a 5 star team. Well done to Mark and all his staff.

The hotel is in a small village, with friendly staff who cooked a great breakfast, I had a good sleep in a clean room. I can easily recommend it to anyone.

The room was very clean and fresh throughout my 5 day stay. Clean bedding daily.

We went to check in note in window to call all locked up, was shown to our room cobwebs on inside of window frame had not been cleaned brown bed linnen alarm bells pulled back could see what looked like stains. We looked at each other no way and we walked out would want a refund of my money

The facilities were fine, but this is a pub, not a 5 star hotel.

I’ve just returned from my second stay at the Sir Alfred Munnings. Located in a lovely, quiet village, I was welcomed, treated very well throughout, and enjoyed my stay.

The staff went out of their way to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. We were out and about most of the time and just needed a place to sleep. The rooms were comfortable and clean and we all slept well. The breakfast was delicious and the portion sizes were generous (a bit too generous for some of us!). It’s located in a lovely quiet little village that we would have liked to see more of.

Beautiful old country pub hotel in a gorgeous corner of Suffolk. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Bed was comfortable, shower worked well. Food was great. Service was quick and friendly. Would stay again .

A fabulous stay in this lovely country inn in a quiet village on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. Perfectly located for exploring the Suffolk coast and countryside and the Norfolk Broads. A wonderful welcome from Mark and his team. Nothing was too much trouble and the lovely breakfasts set you up for the day. Great sized comfortable en-suite room. The pub is at the heart of the village community and is excellent value for money.

We were staying here whilst doing a long distance cycle route. Staff were very welcoming and hospitable. Great food. Clean room and good wifi.

Great staff and location for the Angles Way

What a hidden gem! Have just stayed here for 2 nights as I was working in the area at a festival and Mark the owner from the outset was so helpful with directions/ my late check in and kept me updated with pictures on how to enter the hotel. The room was cozy and did just the job for my 2 night work stay. Also the breakfast and coffee… top notch!!!
