Nice and pretty room. The breakfast was also good. The only thing not so good was the shower. The water was not strong enough and badly drained. Otherwise, everything was very good.

My room was absolutely lovely. A very cosy single with a comfy bed, great radio and TV, tea and coffee facilities and a brilliant shower and bathroom. It was all fantastically clean and I was very impressed. Also all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Finally, although I don't eat much at breakfast, the scrambled eggs and tomato was delicious. I wish I could have gone of the Welsh breakfast!

Room spotless , staff all vey nice

The room was spotless, spacious and well equipped. I loved the DAB radio on the bed side. Nice touch. I prefer to listen to music/ podcasts/ audio books when staying away for work. I was welcomed by the lady on reception as though I was a friend, not a guest. Certainly, the cheeriest greeting I have ever had when checking in. The car park is a little tight but there are plenty of public car parks really close. The restaurant was nice, with a good, varied menu and breakfast was top quality

Great hotel with lovely food, nice staff and the rooms are lovely. Some TLC on the corridors and stairs but be beneficial for the appearance. They are looking rather warn (carpets and paint) Overall a lovely stay. Thanks

Full Welsh Secure parking

The,Royal Oak is an old Hotel. So things need a little updating. However our room had everything posh hotels have. Beds very comfortable. Lovely white clean towels and bedding. Tea & coffee making facilities etc. We had pur evening meal in the their restaurant and it was very nice. The breakfast was all locally sourced and off a really good quality. The staff were very friendly and polite. We need to support our independent Hotels.

This was a very short trip to Welshpool to re-visit Powis Castle and gardens. Appreciated the hearty breakfast before walking up to Powis and walking the gardens for hours. Room was wonderful. The Royal Oak Hotel took me back in time to a place where courtesy and pride of place rule.

Expected Better. We decided not to stay the night

Nice budget hotel and for what you get it’s perfectly acceptable. Room hot but not their fault it was a nice day. I didn’t realise the road next to the hotel was that busy so quite a lot of lorries passing through the night. Good food.

Decent sized family room. Friendly and efficient service. Great breakfast. Convenient location.

Vi hadde et fint opphold på hotellet. Veldig service innstilt personal. Fantastisk frokost. God komfort på rommet, meget gode senger. Veldig godt renholdt. Mangler air condition , det var trope sommer og veldig varmt når vi var der, men rommet hadde to portable vifter som hjalp mye.

All good - food very good and cooked to order. The only let down with this property is the wifi which is absolutely terrible both speed (all over) and signal wise in the bedrooms.
